Couple of Wins and This Place Nearly Goes Dark

Maybe you should go recruit some people who know anything about IU basketball. You and your settler friends don’t add a thing here. Pity none of you understand IU’s basketball tradition. Your low expectations have ruined it for those few of us who really care. Now IU is just like any other average school.
How would you know who adds what here, having been a member for all of 1 day, and this being your first post?
I believe fpeaugh (sp) wants IU to lose. His hate for Archie exceeds all reasonable fandom
Be reasonable. IU has a top 25 5star and a fast rising combo guard, and only one scholarship (Romeo) available. IU is in the final 2 for 5 star Brooks and will be fine whether or not he commits. The sky is not falling, but clearing up from Crean's reign (rain). IU and Archie are on the way up. Get on board or get out, and I will not get off your lawn.
I just thought I had finally ignored the right people. I'm not ready to take anyone off ignore as I can see responses where they are still apparently posting nonsense.
Illinois is 11-18 for a reason. Illinois could have have a great effort and and beat us. I happen to believe we are the better team and will win this game. If we take care of the ball, we will win.
It depends on Georgie and their three point shooting.
When Illinois were in their streak it was because Georgie was putting up unreal numbers (I think he had a 30 pt 12 rebound game).
Lately he's come back down to earth.
I still think they get us tonight. They play really good defense.
This win was probably his worst day since the football team signed a top 40 class.
Or remain cautiously optimistic, perhaps?
Two wins in a row doesn’t mean IU has turned any corners. You act like they have “arrived.” There is a LOT of work to do.
There have been plenty of bad days for us IU fans.
Our basketball team is about to miss the NCAAT for the 7th time in 11 years.
Our football team is now in shambles again after being pretty decent just a couple years ago. And Purdue is thriving on top of it.
This is the lowest point for IUBB and IUFB combined in history. Sorry I’m not being positive enough for you.
We’re nearly last in the Big Ten and we will have far less talent next year. There is no rational reasoning to say we’re on the way up. That’s just blind bias at best.
And Brooks is going to UK. I told you this a couple weeks ago.

But you are trying to blame all of this on Archie. The Baron tanTommy von Clapperson put us in the dumpster. It will take Archie a few more years to clean it up. I'm willing to give him that time, as I believe in him. You want to blow it up, AGAIN, and start over. You are just wrong.
If Brooks does not come to IU, so be it and I wish him well. IU will bring in a grad transfer and/or a SHOOTER, and we will compete next year. Year 5, Archie will have built a sustainable top 15 program. I trust it will happen. IU's future is light years ahead, even now, of any hope that we had with Crean.

I dont think anyone could have predicted Illinois to be so awful in defense and overall...but i guess thats how you get to 11-19

Great point. It really kept them in the game. IU could have ran them out during the 1st half if they hadn't hit those 3's.
IU "fans" rooting for the team to lose thinking they'll somehow make them elite! You can't make this stuff up.
no one wants IU to lose...especially almost half of their games...to the point of being consistently a bubble team or irrelevant altogether
I didn't think we were going to beat Michigan State this year. But I never said it out loud. I never wished for them to lose.
that's been the dbaggy thing about it. you guys really spit all that venom at archie for 12 games because IU hasn't been irrelevant for 30 years. had nothing to do with reality. not saying archie gets a pass but dang. deeeebaggy

Idgaff what gender, religion, political affiliation... any of you dumb mother phackers on here are. This is the IU basketball board. Let’s talk about X’a and O’s, court vision, defense, great passes, ... the things that are relevant to IU basketball.
If it’s about anything else, go f yourself.
And I like goat’s predictions bc they’re entertaining, and about the only other place I can escape from reality besides the golf course, is IU basketball.
