There are no legal ramifications, it isn't a treaty that requires us to back someone in a war. We don't pay money, we discuss issues. I see nothing wrong in joining as long as I don't have to learn God Save the King and it isn't a huge staff to support the Ambassador to the Commonwealth (I am available and am nearly conversant in English). Generally, I favor groups that meet and work on issues together.

If that's all this amounts to, why not?

No metric, either.

I would only join if in the deal Brittan agrees to take back Meghan Markle.

Apparently United States becoming a member of the British Commonwealth, now Commonwealth of Nations is being discussed at the “highest levels”. Do we accept if offered?

Wiki about commonwealth of nations.

Socialist plot to destroy America.

Pass.

We'll have to get better at cricket, but I think it's a great idea.

Vpm is spot on. She’s horrible. Kind of hot but bad bad news.
I guess I'm susceptible to years of cultural indoctrination that pastors should be above certain types of comments. Or maybe I'm still reeling from the book that @BradStevens made us read about a pastor who is a genuinely nice guy all the time and has to go pray every time he so much as thinks something negative about someone.

Don’t let brad get drunk with power. He and Lars have dropped hints, knowingly or otherwise, that they’re on the cusp of a midlife

Lars for sure is having one. He has a fetish for Barbara Tuchman and her books

Most likely trade related. As the Brits are no longer in the EU, they are desperate to get a leg up on the EU and others and have a preferential trade relationship with the US under Trump

Wouldn't they have that status already?

No. Most countries have some form of most-favored-nation status in trade but a negotiated trade deal is more attractive. After Brexit, Theresa May’s administration came to the US to negotiate with the first Trump administration, but I can me away empty-handed as the 1st Trump administration was negotiating too hard a deal.

Gilead.

@VanPastorMan and anyone else who loves good literature, you should read this. You will like it:

You know, Van, it's not your politics, but rather comments like this that make me question your identity. It's not even vulgar, but it's still a very juvenile and distasteful remark to make about another human being.
Eli, tap out on this one. Pastor is rollin!! He's also spot on, in an earthly way and that is 100% fine!
