Was just thinking we were due for some good IU Football news. Let's go CCC!
Admittedly haven’t been following football stuff that closely. Anyone care to speculate. Sounds like maybe non player related news.

Good news indeed. An olineman with 5 years experience in a big 10 program is hard to come by. And I also think he’s going to improve his NFL chances by coming back.
No doubt with another year of S & C & Coach Bostad! Go Hoosiers.
And obviously Bostad wanted him back.
I agree with what was said above about him being motivated. He was a captain last year and i am sure will be one this year. This really helps the line. Where do you think he will play?
Left guard would be my guess … Max Longman will start on the right

So we have Wedig, Kidwell, Katic, Smith and Longman who have seen extensive time. Plus, i am sure Bostad has coached up a few that were on the roster last year. I do not see the OL as a weak spot right now and the really good QB should have some time back there. This is looking good.
Guards are often the OL who struggle to to play tackle against ends with a good speed rush … not many teams run the Lombardi sweep with two pulling guards.
Whomever Bostad picks … we’ll find out soon enough. It will be interesting to see if spring practice is spread out again this year.
Smith is the Left Tackle with Wedig the probable Right Tackle...
Katic played LG last fall and has played Center in the past and it looks like Longman is penciled in at Right Guard. Evidently Bostad is comfortable with Bray at Center..., but there's the possibility of Katic sliding over to that spot...
Katic returning fills a big hole and is great news...
We have chance at a Big Ten quality running game with his return..., And having a QB with a better command of the Offense and a slightly quicker release can only help the OL in terms of pass blocking...
That's my looking at the Bison herd through a keyhole analysis...😉

You're right. We shouldn't discount some of the young guys we haven't seen yet.
That must be for the NFL. If we can put two maulers at the guard positions...wow.
Makes sense. If he plays well his draft stock would rise considerably...
I’m so greedy for good football news that I want everything now. I’m not only happy about Katic but found myself dissatisfied that there wasn’t also a facility announcement. Lol
I'm with you 1000%. Now that transition/change is happening I want the firehose full and open for my personal greedy thirst.
