Saw a medical expert on ESPN at lunch discussing the injury. They said that the good news with the Lisfranc injuries is they typically heal up very well. She stated that it's not a re-occurring type of injury. The bad news, is they do take a while to rehab. Sounds like it's a very boring and monotonous type of recovery. That's much better than some of the lower body injures bigs have had in the past.bad news ...hope he heals....foot problems like this for guys built like him, they tend to linger and keep popping back up. He can spend the winter counting money but this sure does shine a dimmer light on what was an unlimited future for the kid.
for his sake I hope so. For all the hype he's received, he seems pretty even temp on the court, not a lot of flash, look-at-me going on. It's just that some of us old guys have seen this with Bowie, Walton, Ming, Bradley, others....tall lanky dudes who get a bumb wheel and it just never seems to go away. And yeah, sounds like rehab involves a fair about of sit-on-your-ass-all winter plans, just marking days off the calendar.
