Brookins and Gest...

I thought Brookins was graduating? Is he back another year? And if so, where can he see the field? He seems to do lot of dirty work type of things.
I thought he was gone too, but he’s coming back.
Brookins's rep for longevity is beginning to rival that of Major Ogilvie, whose career at Alabama seemed to span 10+ years even though it was only four.
Brookins really bailed us out against Utah in that Bowl game (to the extent that we had a shot at the end). I'm surprised he didn't get more looks last season. May have been injured.
Just from what little I've seen of him I'd put him ahead of both Gest and Majette on my depth chart. Maybe he was fumbling in practice... Must have been a reason they were ahead of him...

Agree on Majette, but Gest ended up getting about 5 yards per carry this year, so he needs to play.
Great recall. Those in Florida we remember "Speedy" Neal who was a running back in the 1980's who played for Miami for what seemed like 20 years.

I think so. Ricky helped introduce the forward pass, much like Jess Settles did at Iowa with dribbling.
