This was my prediction well before the season. Lots of disappointments to go around.

03. Arch will win B1G COY and possibly national COY.
04. Duke will get upset early in the tourney, again.
05. IU defense will be top 15 by the end of the year.
06. Steve Alford will get fired < not very bold.
07. IU will win the B1G regular season.
08. UK will be the number one overall seed.
09. Robert Phinisee will be conference all freshman team.
10. Georgia will finish last in the SEC.
11. IU will not lose a game at home.
12. NC State will be the surprise team in the ACC
13. IU UK series will be renewed.
14. Vanderbilt won't be in the tourney.
15. Jordan Poole will have a breakout year.

Great "bold predictions" post! I love a long list that has a bit of national view mixed in with the IU/Big 10 stuff.

It's horse racing season for me, so I've put hoops on the back burner for a bit. I'll have to save my bold predictions for when I get pulled back in, but here's my 2 cents on a few of yours.

I know the UK series will come back, but I'm very much against it. I'm not one who cares if the series is played on neutral or home floors... I loved it either way! If the series had ended in any other way than the way that it did, I would be totally on board with getting it back via concessions. As it stands though, I would never make concessions to play those ******'s ... but that's just my opinion.

I don't want to put the jinx on Phinisee, but I totally agree!

In fact, I only have a couple of disagreements.

I thought Crean had a shot to have a pretty decent team this season. I haven't really dug deep, so I'll have to take another look at UGA .

I wouldn't be shocked if Alford got canned after this season, but it looks like he's got the best roster he's ever had... by far! So, if he does get the axe, he will have earned it in a big way!

If Shittu is able to play, I thought Vandy looked like a Top 25 type team. I liked the additions of Wetzell and Ryan quite a bit too.

I'm thinking Wisconsin will be a top threat to IU and MSU this season. Maryland might still be close in spite of the loss of Jackson and Huerter. Overall, I think the Big Ten is going to be a very good league this year. Purdue is my call to surprisingly miss the dance.

Anyway... great list!

I'm happy with mine. As far as IU, I failed about as much as the team did, but nationally I didn't do too bad.

Of course I didn't expect Alford to get fired during the season.

It's easy for some to be critical when they never engage themselves in the fun of trying to make a handful of preseason prognostications. I occasionally have a pretty decent call myself, but I will probably look foolish a lot if people remain dedicated to bumping prediction posts
