My bold predictions for next year will be so low it will almost be impossible for Archie not to surpass it . Given the fiasco we are seeing this year my bold prediction for next year puts us on the NIT bubble so maybe just maybe we can exceed that.

Injuries and Jones have been a factor no doubt, but I don't think Shaka's done enough to warrant ditching Barnes to this point and I doubt he ever will.

Barnes had gotten stale but was still relatively successful by UT standards. If they were looking for an upgrade or someone that could dethrone Kansas, I think Shaka strikes substantially less fear in the heart of Self than Barnes ever did, tournament upsets aside.

Now that this has been bumped. I don't know concerning the standards thing. Texas is rock solid in sports across the board. UT standards are pretty high. Whether Shaka is the answer or not they want basketball to be high profile. Barnes really wasn't getting it done. Shaka's team seems to be stabilizing around the guard play recently and have become fun to watch. Let's see how they finish the season.

- DeVonte will be either our starting point guard or play as part of a 3-guard lineup. He will thrive with RL taking the pressure off.
- Romeo will be the player of the year in the B1G. He might have an at times slow start pre-B1G, but will be a dominant player come January.
- Marquette will be our toughest pre-B1G opponent. We r catching Duke early which should really help us. Duke will really miss Grayson Allen.
- Justin Smith will have a break-out year.
- Villanova might not win the NC, but I expect they will once again be very good. Jay Wright is the best coach in the game.
- We make it to the Elite Eight!
