I’ll bet you he is absolutely convicted in multiple jurisdictions. He’s already been found guilty of sexual assault in the civil case. And when was the last time you were in the bastion of liberalism New York or San Fran? In fact have you ever been to either? Wouldn’t necessarily want to live in either but love visiting. They are to congested but so much to do there. I was just in San Fran 5 weeks ago and had zero issues. New York a year ago. No issues. My office was in Detroit for 5 years and I had zero issues there either. And I loved it there as well.

We voted for the pot guy Gary Johnson and his running mate was a republican from the northeast. We were both registered republicans. I switched to independent and she stayed a registered republican but she won’t vote for any on the federal level. Nor will I until the party comes back to its roots of being fiscally conservative, honors our treaty commitments and stands firmly against Russia. We’re both writing in our deceased fathers this year.

I just don't think there has been any dem version of Trump to test blind loyalty. Sure, there are varying degress of bias for dems to vote their side just the same as pubs have bias to vote their side. But Trump stands alone when it comes to the amount of crap that people have to look the other way on.
On a national level anyway, Clinton might be the closest comparison for a dem but his crap hit the fan on his 2nd term and he never ran for another election (so blind loyalty didn't get tested). Most other dems that have got caught in scandals haven't re-run either to test loyalty.

He's been found guilty in a civil case - cool and nothing will happen to him, just like OJ. Also, not really sure who think you are talking to. I live in the only state that voted against Reagan in 1984. Not exactly a conservative paradise. George Floyd riots weren't more than a few miles from me.
But to answer your question, I was at a conference in San Fran in early Jan, then back again last week of Jan (luckily was able to stay in the south bay). It's not nearly what it was 10-15 years ago (do you even track the poop map?). New York was longer - was back in November. Saw some protests, but the JW has good security.
Detroit is just depressing. It's no more dangerous than Chicago. But the suburbs are nice (looking at you Birmingham). Dearborn is yikes though.
I'm telling you, as someone in the know, I would feel safer going to a conservative rally than a liberal one wearing a Star of David.
Sounds like you think all cities are sh** holes. As I said I worked every day for five years in Detroit. Even had business over on the east side off 8 mile. Never once felt threatened. All communities have their bad elements. Cities just have more because they have more people. Every city I’ve lived in I enjoyed. Sacramento, Indianapolis, Detroit, Atlanta are a few. Visited a ton more.
Born in a small town in Indiana and can tell you it’s not nearly as safe as it was in the 70’s when I was growing up. And Minnesota is not exactly a hot bed of lefty wackos. It’s nearly a 50/50 split. Spent a lot of time in the Brainerd area many years ago. As you know the only reason Reagan lost Minnesota was because their native son was his opponent. My wife’s favorite president was Reagan and I voted for him but she wasn’t old enough to.
