Hardworking assistant under RMK. Young tough competitor. Modernized offense with motion principals. Demands defensive effort and most importantly he wins.
Baggage could be an issue but I’m sure stipulations could be in a contract. Him and his ex are over so there is that.

What stipulations? Beard also has to invent a time machine, go back a few years, and do a quantum leap on his DV arrest?

Seems unlikely.

Guy can dream can’t he lol. I know the whole DV is a bad look to say the least. Shame…. Would be instant fix.
I had the opportunity to be close to the TTU program and saw a young assistant working his ass off.

As much as I'm sold on McCollum, I would hold my breath until I was sure he wasn't going to be swallowed up by the enormity and weight of the job. I would say the same for Josh Schertz. Beard I wouldn't. The idea of what McCollum could do is exciting. They're my two choices.

I wonder if CCB would even consider another job, IU or anyone else. Ol’Miss threw him a big lifeline and he has the program rolling well. He may be very comfortable where he is.

Beard has never, not once, had a losing season as a collegiate head coach. From his start at McMurry to now at Ole Miss .700 winning percentage .

Beard runs a motion offense that is predicated on off-ball movement. There is not a heavy reliance upon guard dominant play as his offense instead creates open looks with several off-ball screens. The more screens set, the higher the chance for a breakdown in communication by the defense.

The premise of a Beard defense is protecting the middle of the floor. Offensively, when a player gets to the middle of the floor, the probability of a defensive breakdown increases significantly. It forces players into help, potentially leaving an open kick out or a back door cut. Keeping the ball to a side of the floor can really shut down an offense.
