My ex stoker’s dad had a heart attack and died a few years back. Was a big hunter. I’ve never seen a more impressive freezer than that man had in his basement. It was massive. Every kind of meat and fish conceivable. Just perfectly stacked, dated. It was unreal.

I've never had an issue freezing any kind of meat. Fish needs to be used in the same year, assuming it's packaged correctly, but I've pulled roasts out of the freezer after 2 years and it looked like it just went in. That's the downside to chest freezers. Easy for things to get lost and end up on the bottom. Gotta vac pac everything to make sure it lasts.
I can't take all the credit, like Merle Haggard sang...Mama Tried. Looks like her mom and acts like the old man. I think the best thing (besides the bacon of course) was the oldest boy (5) and the youngest boy (14 months) were both rocking heather gray quarter zip cable knit sweaters.
