I had to drive to/from DC the last few days and listened to an interview with Andy Beshear. I really liked what I heard from him. I don't think AOC has any real chance at being a Democratic nominee for president. I suppose she could muck things up and run as an Independent, but I'm sort of hopeful that by 2028 the Democrats will have things figured out.aoc is the leader of the dems. most polls have her as the voice of the party. she controls the narrative. she is the dem party.
maga is the right. i think we need to come to terms with the way teh system is set up we'll be choosing between the fringes for some time. hell walz today was just saying they didn't lean into dei and immigration enough. they need to be more woke
I'm also hopeful that without Trump MAGA will go the way of the Tea Party. I don't know who could step up and lead that wing of GOP.
In some ways, I'm sort of hopeful we're headed toward a post vitriolic political climate. I'm not putting money on that just yet, but a good start to that would be for Democrats to put forth a more moderate Democratic candidate who beats the anointed MAGA guy in '28 by a landslide. I think that could happen.
