Atlantic just released all the texts this a.m. and it is not good

They have to keep talking about it, because they haven't yet found a landing spot that allows them to explain how this makes Trump look like a genius.
No they don’t. “We’ve said all we are going to say at this time. When more information becomes available then we may have another statement.”

Have they never had their wives question them about what happened at the bar?

I don't disagree, but I will offer one caveat (with the important note that my experience has never involved national security). After spending much of my working life in management and responsible for hiring/firing/training in organizations of various sizes in multiple industries, I have come to the conclusion that sometimes it is better to forgive than to make an example of someone. You have to consider the value of that person going forward. If Waltz is genuinely the best man for the job, then one royal f*ck up might not change that fact. So my instinct would be to reprimand and coach first, and only terminate if there really is no other option.
That can be fair too but I can say that if they were just regular employees, there would be some form of formal action for what they did.

You would be right if we were talking about reasonable people, but we aren't. We are talking about sociopaths and cultists. They can't help themselves.

Waltz initially took responsibility. Trump said so as well early in this mistake. Hegseth made a dumb statement by bringing the reporter’s credibility into question. That had nothing to do with this incident. I thought their initial response was good and has went to shit from there. Quit talking about it. The attack on the Houthis went off without a hitch. “Sociopaths and cultists”….good grief

Waltz said he took responsibility. Trump said it as well. The idiocy is continuing to talk about it.
Are they still taking about it, besides when they're directly asked by reporters? Sorry, I don't follow this stuff closely.

GameStop announced their buying Bitcoin yesterday and I'm now on team kitty. That's the important shit I follow. Not a chance that f#cking cat is going to run up GameStop and I'm not on the bandwagon.

Well, then why don't they stop?

All I’ve seen is when asked. “I have already answered that question. I do not have any new information”….

It would have been middle schoolers getting their balls cut off and no cops. I’ll take this clown show over that clown show any day of the week. Plus trump is funny. The left is humorless. Zero entertainment. Trump is like crean vs Archie Miller. Both shit but one makes you smile

MM66, like most of your humor.

Therefore, would appreciate some examples of Trump humor which aren't put downs of his opponents.

It’s endless. I could fill an encyclopedia with how funny I find him. It’s just him. His expressions. What he says. How he acts. I love trump. When he picks on a reporter at a presser and they ask something he doesn’t like and whispers “here we go.” When he posts he won the club golf tournament. When he adopts that Tony Clifton posture. He is funny. And it’s mostly laughing at him.

Trump is a type. I’ve had him as a coach. I’ve had him as a boss. As a partner. I’ve always gotten along great with trump types. You just have to know how to handle them. What I’ve never understood is the hatred. They and he are pretty transparent. Narcissistic. Incredibly insecure. As is trump. Searching for validation.

I like trump. A lot. I cannot stand Biden and Harris and Pete and that crowd. We’re all different hoot

Because people do not like getting shit rubbed in their nose. Everyone wants the last word. That is not unique to this group.
No...these people don't like having the shit they produce, which they just assume we will accept as being anything but shit, called out as shit.

Dbm has already been given his opinion by this Twitter Twits and that's that. He won't read the Atlantic article, and nothing will ever change his mind about this story. Well, if the administration changes their spin on it, dbm will go with the new spin, no questions asked. Hell, he's incapable of questioning anything he hears from his Twitter Twits or the President.
Just like my friend who was in Washington on Jan 6th. He has never seen the attack on a Capital Police line only watching FOX news. Maybe we should ask the fighter pilots that were put at risk.

For the record, I am happy with Trump's Presidency so far and disagree with the characterization. I accepted when I voted for him that he's going to do stupid shit like Trump coin or have Vance shit talking Europe (which I loved and made the leak worth it 😁) on signal and his methods are unorthodox at times.

I'm about results though and love how he is able to shift the Overton window on so many things. He's been great with the border. The war in Russia has a much higher chance of ending now. He's been great for Bitcoin and kept all of his promises on it. I'm a fan of DOGE. I like that they're going after the cartel in Mexico.

His handling of DEI has been great and he's trying to get rid of an entire Department (which chubs up small government conservatives like myself). The only thing that is annoying me are tariffs. I give him a B+ so far.

If only he wasn't responsible for so many people's lives and well-being as POTUS, he would be hilarious. I liked him as the "rich guy" on all those 80's sitcoms and movies.
As leader of the free world...not so much.

Eh. I think external forces (musk) are driving much of this ship. He was great last time save his piss poor handling of Covid. I think if he felt confident he didn’t need musk’s money to get over the hump this term would have been far less tumultuous. But again I’ll still take this over Harris any day so it is what it is at this point for some of us. F up with the houthis not murderers in my neighborhood where my daughter and her crew have lunch

Uh, Covid was the MAJOR situation he handled.
He sucked.
Then his post election behavior should have been disqualifying.
And here we are.

Yeah but it was an anomalous event. A hundred year event. It was handled poorly but shitty luck too. And the Dems only exacerbated the debacle with virtue signaling draconian bullshit. What’s more it exposed how inept our agencies are and in need of what’s happening now.

His post election behavior isn’t as bad as concealing the condition of the president in my eyes. At least it was transparent and run through the courts.

In criticizing trump Dems are quick to condemn the yabbuts but the yabbuts are always the context of trump. The alternative was 40 year infkation spikes record mortgage rates defunding cops climate zealotry minor gender reassignments and open borders. How we got here isn’t a yabbut. It’s the reason

I’m a Dem. There’s nothing worse than the woke left. Nothing. I’ll always choose this over that

Nobody died…quit talking about it. It keeps the story alive.

Now go on and start talking about orange this and orange that.

Trump was given the opportunity to show his true colors during a very tough time in this country's history, and he did. He shit the bed in a spectacular fashion. Leaders step up and inspire. Trump acted like a petulant, indecisive child, in full view of the world. He could have been a hero and united the country. He shrank away from the responsibility, because he had no business being in that position, and he also brought out the worst in everyone in his orbit.

We will have to agree to disagree on his post election behavior. It disrespected everything we should stand for and diminished our legacy and reputation as a country.

He’s an 80 year old child. Doubtless. But he can’t be viewed in a vacuum. He’s viewed in an election context. Were the alternative a Shapiro bill Clinton Obama etc it would be one thing. The alternative are insane people. The most common sense things. Cops. Capitalism. The central tenets of individual success and aspirations and what engendered this country they’re opposed to.

This last election had little to do with trump. It was a referendum on woke politics. Where the Dem party has gone is where your and all your brethren’s ire should be directed

The silver lining is Trump has the potential to fvck things up so badly and so often that the Republicans won't be able to elect a dog catcher after he leaves office.
Of course, we'll all be comrades at that point.

Dumb, And you are allowed to vote?

The President has zero authority to deal with emergencies . . . .unless. . . . .he declares Marshal Law and has the military take over.

Emergency management is 100% in the hands if governors and all 50 governors declared a state of emergency in their states. First time in our history.

Lied about what?
“I’m not a conspiracy theorist, but of all the people out there, somehow this guy who has lied about the president, who has lied to Gold Star families, lied to their attorneys, and gone to Russia, hoax, gone to just all kinds of lengths to lie and smear the president United States, and he’s the one that somehow gets on somebody’s contact and then get sucked into this group,”

I agree with the idea that Trump was created by the left. My problem is he is out of control and his supporters see no wrong.

Where did I say anything about authority? I was talking about exhibiting the kind of character that could have inspired a sense of unity and national pride. You know..by being presidential.
He decided to be a childlike, cowardly asshole. He was the worst version of himself under the toughest circumstances. He cannot be dumped into the dustbin of history soon enough.

💥. Another giant nothing burger. Likely done intentionally by a leftist staffer. Nothing in there everyone didn't already know.

Let's take your version of this as true. It's a "giant nothing burger" [I despise this phrase] that a staffer in the DOD leaked these plans to a journalist prior to the attack, potentially jeopardizing the mission and maybe, very small probability ,of American lives? That would count as one of the biggest security failures in the last 50 years, still, wouldn't it? Shouldn't we hunt that person down and make sure he or she spends most of the rest of his or her life in jail?
