I think some of it was the competition had time to see enough IU film with Romeo to make adjustments and IU has been unable to counter those adjustments like most teams would. Guard Romeo hard without the ball. Collapse the lane and limit drive opportunities. You can say it's the coach, you can say it's the talent, you can say it's the effort, you can say it's the injuries, or all of the above, but teams adjusted and IU doesn't have another gear.

It’s all about shooting. When teams aren’t afraid of your three point shooting they can play off and stop the drives.

You are correct. "This" won't last long term. Either Archie will right the ship and everyone (with the exception of you, Mr. Negative) will be happy, or he won't - and he'll be gone. But to count him out after a season and a half - or even two seasons - is foolhardy.

FP's already admitted that his only real problem with Miller is that Glass hired him. He doesn't mind being foolhardy because he'll just invent some alternate facts when called out on it...like:

Michigan was on sanctions when Belien took over.

Everyone hated dirty AAU recruiting til we got Romeo.

Romeo and Morgan haven't missed a minute to injuries.

Everyone loved Tom Crean until year 9.

Etc...

I think he probably could of had Mack but Fred did not even look at him. He was laser focused on Miller. The fact Fred was allowed to make the hire in the first place is a massive red flag.
