This is an example of an account that twitter should be banning.
This is so sad. I am waiting for details before making any conclusions on the, "why" of it all. My heart goes out to my brothers and sisters there in Texas.this time in Texas. First reports saying 27 fatalities and multiple injuries. Shooter dead also.
I wish politicians would put their laws where their prayers are.

Stupid liberal Texas gun laws. It's already against the law to murder people in a church. I think.

What a CLEVER comeback!

So, the latter, then.Repeal the 2nd amendment.
Or just get used to this for the rest of your life as normal America.
This is the one that always sticks out to me when this happens:The Facebook meme I keep seeing, and am not endorsing, "if prayers worked there wouldn't have been s shooting in a church". I disagree but I think the sentiment resonates with me as a counter that we can only offer thoughts and prayers.
This will be what the "armed citizenry" proponents will grab onto.Current reports that an armed private citizen living next to the church exited his home with his rifle and returned fire. It's not clear if he fired while the shooter was still engaged with attacking the church, or if he fired at him as he was fleeing. It's possible that this citizen hit him while he was driving and caused his death.
The law obviously isn’t working. We should probably get rid of it. It just makes it harder for responsible gun owners.
26-year old white male gun nut. I think it's safe to say that he's not a terrorist, just a loner with mental health issues.
To be fair, my comeback was as substantive as your post, so there's that.
There's nothing substantive about calling for "smart gun laws." Offer specific policies and why you think they'd make a difference. That would be substantive. What’s unsubstantive about smart gun laws instead of offering thoughts and prayers every two weeks? So there’s that.
Just a reminder. The rate at which Americans are shot and killed by police is higher than the rate at which most Westerners are shot and killed by anyone.
That obviously doesn't include suicides.
And counting...

There is a hole in that argument, though. The Facebook meme I keep seeing, and am not endorsing, "if prayers worked there wouldn't have been s shooting in a church". I disagree but I think the sentiment resonates with me as a counter that we can only offer thoughts and prayers.
