An Iranian speaks...

Can we just clarify who this woman in the video Mohoosier posted is?

1) Lobbyist for whom the New Yorker calls the biggest Libyan (Sunni) warlord since the fall of Khadafi. His name is General Khalifa Haftar. You can read all about him here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Khalifa_Haftar. Sounds like a great guy!

2) She is a contributor to The Federalist. I think we know who gets their news there!. The likes of VPM, Hillz and that crowd (https://thefederalist.com/author/reaboikasraie/).

3) She is formerly assistant to Republican Congressman/Lunatic, Trent Franks. Franks joined with three other members of Congress in calling for the investigation of the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) over allegations of trying to plant "spies" based on a CAIR memo indicating that the group planned to "develop national initiatives such as Lobby Day" and place "Muslim interns in Congressional offices." The request followed publication of the book Muslim Mafia. Representative Sue Myrick had written the foreword, which characterized CAIR as subversive and aligned with terrorists. CAIR countered that these initiatives are extensively used by all advocacy groups and accused Franks and his colleagues of intending to intimidate American Muslims who "take part in the political process and exercise their rights." He once called President Obama as an "enemy of humanity".

Among this, he is the guy who asked at least two female staff members if they would consider serving as surrogate mothers for Franks and his wife, offering to compensate at least one staff member $5 million if she conceived him a child and allegedly retaliating against one of the staff members for refusing his demand. Paul Ryan found the allegations to be "serious and requiring action" and, after confronting Franks, determined that the allegations, which Franks didn't not deny, warranted a referral to the House Ethics Committee. Ryan called the allegations "credible claims of misconduct." So, essentially, the guy is a compete nutjob and SHE is in that camp.

4) She claims that the American media is "mourning" Soleimani's death. Yeah...I'm open for correction, but I haven't seen ONE SINGLE person "mourning" the death of Soleimani. Even the most liberal of liberals. Has anyone? I think the concern among people of even borderline normal intelligence is that the Trump Admin had absolutely no plan (besides Trump's second round of golf) in place for after this killing. Clearly, one of, if not the biggest points is that it's a "wag the dog" to get the heat off of him being impeached. The reason most people know and understand this is that they say Trump has had no interest in intelligence briefings after the killing. If YOU were president of the US, wouldn't you be concerned with the ramifications of killing the #2 person in all of Iran? Guess not for the Trump Corporation...oops! Trump Administration.

Here is another video that has actual people who understand what's happening. First is Iranian American, Narges Bajoghli. She is a professor of Middle East studies at Johns Hopkins focused on post-revolutionary Iran. She says the exact opposite of what your lobbyist/Republican operative/Federalist contributor lunatic thinks. By the way, the video also includes Ryan Crocker. A Republican, and former ambassador. He's a recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom and has served as US Ambassador to Afghanistan (2011–2012), Iraq (2007–2009), Pakistan (2004–2007), Syria (1998–2001), Kuwait (1994– 1997), and Lebanon(1990–1993). Colin Powell called Crocker "one of our very best foreign service officers". President George W. Bush called Crocker America's Lawrence of Arabia (okay, W, but...) and noted that General David Patraeus said that "it was a great honor for me to be (Crocker's) military wingman".
