Ace Ciongoli WR from the Boston, MA area

Anyone know anything about him...?

His X acct. has him committing to us...

Class of 2025

Looks like he has a brother who is listed as a freshman QB at Princeton...

Athletic family... That's good...
His younger brother, Duke, has had visits from Michigan and Bill Belichick. His older brother, Ty, just committed to Princeton.

He's a walk on.

Anytime someone has Matt Wilson in their post is a dead giveaway. He's our walk-on guy.

Thanks...

I figured you'd know one way or another...

Can't have too many athletic guys with speed out there...

Hope he works hard enough to be a significant Special Teams contributor early on and is able to find a role in our passing game at some point in his career...

Here's hoping his brother Duke joins him in the next class...

Right, but little brothers can grow up to be better than big brothers, lol.
I'm not going to bet on that happening given how good big bro is.

If recruiting sites are to be believed, then he wasn't highly sought after (which makes me wonder if he would have came even as a preferred walk-on). However, he has good speed for a LB (4.7) so he may end up being another example of Cig's eye for talent. hope so.

There are some highlights out there for him. He looks small and quick. i presumed he was a walk-on. If he ever played other than on STs, it would be as a slot receiver. Not inconceivable that he might be like a Mitchell Paige in 3-4 years. He is very smart and he visited a bunch of camps (NC, Virginia were 2) so he badly wants to play at a high level.

nobody wanted his big bro either, so honestly this is the only coach that he could recruit a rock and I would think it had a chance of becoming all big ten.

We got Antwaan Randle El because his brother, Curtis Randle El was here already.

Their younger brother, Marcus, I believe, went to Wisconsin, pissing people off here, but never really did much up there.
From what I remember he came to IU because we said he could play QB. The only other school recruiting him as a QB was Ohio University.

It is ironic because his senior year he was worried about getting into the NFL and wanted to try WR. Thankfully that didn't last long at IU as he moved back to QB until the NFL.

That temporary move (to WR under Cam) did get him some practice tape for the NFL scouts to view however...

He was never going to play meaningful numbers of snaps in the NFL at QB but he did get his fair shot at WR and the rest is (NFL) history...

Yeah, Cam could have handled that better. Tommy Jones (I think) could not really figure out his role.
