Let’s go now! Right there for the taking. Let’s sack up and go get this one. I promise you I will not have a voice at the end of this game. I want this win as bad as any I can remember. A win will do wonders for this program.

I believe!!! MI is more talented than IU, but we have age and experience. We don’t have a starter that isn’t 22. Play like some grown ass men and go F.uck up Indy. LETS GET IT!!!!

Say it with me now……..

ALLLLLLLLL Aboard!!!!!

I don't think one win is enough to get in. I also don't think they will win.

IU has only beaten 3 tourney bound teams all season.

I think IU wins.

it feels like just another game to me. Maybe a little different because Howard will be back.

I don't have warm fuzzy feelings about this game. I do think its a play in game for us...at least I think enough other bubble teams have lost, that we'll have a very, very good chance of getting an at large if we win today.

But man, its just hard to see right now. Michigan has been playing well, overall, lately. And that memory of how they dismantled us in Bloomington is seared into my brain.

One of the biggest problems, that I see, is Devante Jones has been playing a lot better of late. I doubt Dickinson or Houstan play out of their minds like they did against us earlier. But in all likelihood, Jones and Brooks are going to be a lot better this time, than they were last time. Outside the Michigan loss, ironically, its been opposing teams guards that have hurt us when we've lost games. Michigan has 2 solid ones, and then really, really, good 3-5. They beat the hell out of us last time with basically no production from their guards. They'll likely get more out of them today...and production from their 3-5 guys is baked into the cake with them.

I'm envisioning a lot of overhelping, and guys like Jones and Brooks going off early. And then their stud 3-5 guys taking over late. Hope I'm wrong.

Its gonna be a very tough game I think.

They're just a terrible matchup for us. I'd feel much, much better of our chances against Wisconsin or PU. That said I do think we'll play very hard today.

I agree with you about the Michigan guards today North. I’m not holding my breath but I would love to see Rob starting over Stewart. Far better defender.

I love some of you guy's enthusiasm and I do hope we win but I do not believe we will. We have shown very little ability to win these types of games and certainly not with any consistency. I know many think we have a lot of talent on this team but when you compare to say the Cheaney, Graham, Henderson, Bailey, Nover, Reynolds, Evans' team, we really don't compare. I sometimes wonder if some people have forgotten what a really talented team looks like?? I am hopeful Coach Woodson can bring in the kind of talent that competes for championships.

I think they understand the magnitude of this game. Monday i thought we needed two wins, now I think this does it.

I don't question whether they'll come out fighting. For the most part, we've done that. And maybe those memories of that last Michigan game aren't really representative of what an IU/Mich matchup should look like, with IU guys fighting like they probably will today???!

I just worry about our guards overhelping on Dickinson, Houstan, and Diabate, because of how the first game went...and guys like Brooks and Jones going off. Obviously their big 3 going off, wasn't good for us last time, so maybe it'd be better if those other guys did have some success early...maybe they wouldn't focus on their Big 3 as much after that?

Anywho...I just don't think we matchup well with this team. Of ALL the teams in the Big Ten, I would put them right behind, as in very close behind, Illinois as the team we'd have the hardest time beating today.

I am max units (for me that’s 5x standard) for the first time this year on the Hoosiers.

Let's do this! I love my kid but I'll be on child duty all day next Thursday and Friday if they don't make the tourney.

The song playing in my head when I woke up this morning, followed by the notion that we're going to win by 15-20 pts.

If mental is to physical as 5 to 1 (or whatever coach said), I expect this game from an intangibles and effort basis to be the complete opposite of the earlier game. I also wouldn’t be surprised to see mi get the negative end of the stick with the officiating (w Howard back). Will it be enough? Seems like I’ve seen this movie before.

With stellar D, and the Hoosiers are more than capable of producing that result, I believe we are a bad matchup for Meatchicken. I think Woodson will subtly work the officials to keep IU from foul trouble and the D attacking. Gotta have some 3's too. Rob has to start for PS.

I'm going to bet $100 moneyline on IU, then let it ride vs Illinois! After we beat the Illini, I'll drag my hundy and let the rest ride until Sunday night and cash about 5k. It's my typical BTT bet. Someday it's gonna cash... right?? :)

On the surprise scale, I'd be 8/10 if we win.

Michigan may roll us again today, but I'm going big on IU today (besides my let it ride till Sunday bet)

Dickenson is like 17% from three if you take out his games vs IU and PU. UM had their best shooting efficiency of the season in the 1st game, and their D had it's best shooting efficiency performance of the year other than Tarleton St.

IU was coming off it's biggest win in years and ran into a buzzsaw.

UM tries to turn it into a game of horse, IU just needs to not fall into that again.

Here's a warning not to follow me to the betting window on this one though, I partially dislocated my patella on Sunday and am feeling no pain thanks to Doc... decision making may not be top notch right now :p

Hopefully Woodson hurts Howard's feelings during the game and he runs over and punches Fife and we get a few late free throws!

Big thing about the first Mich game was that it was the letdown game after Purdue.

On offense, IU just came out to amped up and was just rushing everything. IU's defense actually started out fine the firs 6-7 minutes, and it took 3 minutes before Mich had their first basket. After that Mich hit a few shots and got some help from the refs (a charge was called a block and a foul on a rebound was incorrectly called a shooting foul giving Mich 4 unwarranted FTs).

But then with the offense still cold, the defense started getting to aggressive trying to make stops, Mich started getting some open shots and went on a run, and IU just never recovered

MI has won 14 consecutive opening BTT games 😬
You don’t know that means absolutely nothing? It’s like flipping a balanced coin 10 times and it coming up heads 10 times. The next flip isn’t 100% likely to be heads, it’s only 50% likely. Every time.

IU’s performance in the BTT in the past isn’t a factor in IU’s chances in this tournament. The factors are primarily IU’s play and that of IU’s opponent, but the past performance of either team isn’t one.

Correct. Only our performance in the Kohl center for the last hundred years has been an accurate predictor ;)
