20 year old kids don't get tired.*

That's the best D they've faced all year, plus all the grabbing and pushing. Takes a toll.

They can lose their legs, and we are a bad shooting team with fresh legs.
How do they lose their legs? Playing 15/20 minutes every other day? I'm sure they play pickup for hours and hours every day in the summer etc. I don't get the tired claims. At all. Is it unique to basketball? They're kids

A VW Beetle loses 10% of power and owner's don't notice, an F1 car does and it is known.

NBA teams had to have rules passed to stop players sitting out a game when they have back to back nights. This isn't back to back, but there was a cross country trip delayed by an NCAA screw up.

I don't buy it Marv. I get the travel throws you off but the amount of actual minutes these guys play is nothing. They take breaks constantly. And they are young. I think St Mary's is just better.

SMC is a better team. We might be tired, but all the energy in the world wouldn't change that fact.

St Mary's is better. That isn't my argument. The first four teams should not have to from Dayton to the coast and play in less than 48 hours.

That is true. But what's the solution? I'd hate to see the First Four change. Dayton has really nailed that event.
If going to 64 is not an option, the first 4 have to stay east of the Mississippi. But even failing that, our game and the Rutgers/ND game should have been the first game. That at least buys 2.5 more hours. Oh, have the right plane at the airport too.

Notre Dame may destroy my argument tomorrow.

I could see tying the First Four to East/Midwest pods.

Agreed. Travel isn't fair. First four should be held where you would play thereafter
We aren't very good so there is that. Five games in 8 days doesn't help when combined with the travel.

Underwood mentioned Illinois being tired last year after the BTT. Given the conference struggles the last 20 years, I wonder if it's time consider moving the BTT up on the calendar.

Aren't other P5 tourneys on a similar timeline?

Yes, this is a lame excuse for a shitty coach & his team.
It may be somewhat lame, but I really think playing the championship late in the day Sunday really doesn't help in the grand scheme of things. I'd move everything up a day.
