20 year old kids don't get tired.*

Big Ten extends their tournament with the bogus double byes instead of just giving two byes and playing a straight bracket. All for TV and attendance money.
How does that extend the tournament? The tournaments is extended because there are 14 teams, not because there’s a double bye. The double bye is meant to reward the teams that have a better regular season by not forcing them to play as many games in order to win the championship

Maybe someone else pointed this out already but this comment just shows your ignorance because the NCAA doesn’t make a dime off of the college football playoff. They literally have nothing to do with it.

ncaa, conferences… they all care about one thing. Stop deluding yourself otherwise.

they have a direct incentive to keep expanding the ncaa tourney, don’t they?

So much so that from 1985 to 2022 the size of the field has expanded by 4 teams. WOW! Money grabbers!!!!

that’s a CLEAR PATTERN of a money grab if I’ve ever seen one.

Any theories about why the Big 10 sucks? The only group doing worse than the Big Ten are officials. A random number generator would grade out better.

Yeah, but B1G sucked going in. MI had the upset; I believe the rest have been dogs who lost.

Edit: Duh. Iowa.

Physical style of play doesn't translate well in March. I think a lot of top perimeter players prefer a more free flowing game and avoid the conference all together.

I can't tell you how many random teams I watched this weekend with 6'-7" - 6'9" skilled athletes that we lack. Guys that could dribble, shoot, jump, etc.

I'm not smart enough to have the answers but the league needs to figure something out. Not only is the league in a title drought, but now teams outside of the Wolverines don't advance past the first weekend.

Physicality is the usual excuse but this tournament has been physical. Tech players pulled out brass knuckles on the ND player with about 25 seconds left. The refs did their impression of Globetrotter refs.

The B10 was heavy in star power this year. Murray, Cockburn, Davis, TJD. I will leave out Ivey since they are still playing.

Still think guards and wings win in March. Davis was 0-7 from three and Murray didn't hit a three either.

Duke simply had more talent than a game MSU. Guys that could get their shots anytime they wanted. Duke shot 57 percent from field.

Like I said, someone smarter than me needs to figure it out. We had some talent in the league, but still feel like many if the teams the big 10 played this weekend seemed better in every way.

Ask the SEC?
I dunno. I think it’s overblown. ACC is gonna have 3 In the Sweet 16 if this Miami score holds for the next eight minutes, but I don’t think that means that it’s a great conference this year or even that the teams that made the Sweet 16 are great teams.

Probably right, but no titles since Maryland in 2002. That needs to change soon.

Purdue was looking like they'd run away, but then...
