You can also throw in that our recruiting is a disaster and no decent in state kids will touch IU with a 10 foot pole. Yep, time to retain Crean for another year.

Yet, somehow, this team had enough talent to beat UNC & Kansas.

Sure, not having Collin during the conference season has left a huge void in the leadership. Not having OG robs us of a talent opposing teams have to handle.

But to be in THIRTEENTH? With this team and the talent it has - regardless of the injuries? And, not to mention, the Big 10 is very mediocre this year - no better than 4th in conference rankings, behind even the SEC in several such polls.

If there could ever be a damning statement regarding the state of IU basketball, this is it.

I don't doubt Crean made note of Langford's play, but Bloomington North was New Albany's opponent. Musa Jallow (IU recruit) plays for BN, and Crean was seated behind the BN bench.

This is no reason to run Crean out of town. IU is not elite anymore, if it ever was. Proof of this is how Mike Davis and Tom Crean have failed to win a title. Besides, if IU were actual basketball blue blood they'd have been able to hire a great coach. None of them thought enough of IU to come here. Crean is the best we can do, so let's just cheer for the kids and be good fans. IU basketball is not about winning, it is about cheering for the kids despite W/L results. And finally, at the end of the day it is just a game. Get real Hoosier fans. As Norman Dale would say "This is your team".
