Newkirk and Priller give their Senior Night speeches on Friday. It's a shame they didn't do that last year.

Always appreciate the Seniors. Whether they contribute much on the court or not, they still deserve respect for finishing.

Newkirk has not panned out as hoped. He may be the victim of over-hype by the last coach or it may be his knee injury never allowed him to be the athlete he was before. Flashes of solid play were few and far between and he did not become the lock down defender as advertised. Maybe he redeems himself during conf tourney play.

Priller is a tough one to understand. A fan favorite but not for his ability to play. Nobody can explain how he went 4 years and did not develop physically or find a way to contribute on the court. That is all on him - no excuses.

So many others came in and added 15 - 30 pounds of muscle, improved vertical etc. He has not changed much at all. We can all agree he was never a D1 player. I wish him the best in life going forward, but he will forever serve as the best example of why Coach Crean was fired.

One shining moment. Go get 'em Josh.

Looking at him last time he was subbed in and thinking the same thing - how does one have access to world-class facilities paired with all your mates working their asses off for 4 years and not even have a bicep to show for it?

Great post.

Is he really? Or is he simply serving as a punchline?

That’s not the only positive from last game.
1. We had Justin Smith
2. Great 1st half defense
3. Archie
