‘They don’t want the ride to end’: Donald Trump Jr. and Kimberly Guilfoyle eye takeover of RNC, sources say

Until the GOP fully cauterizes the gaping wound left by these awful people, there will be no future. Sadly the current day Republican party is turning into a pathetic sack of victims and conspiracy theorists. Trumpism in action.

Case in point, both GA Senators calling for the resignation of the (Republican) GA Sec of State because they don't like the election count.

Yep. And all of them going along with the dangerous rigged election narrative just to avoid getting a mean tweet.

Actually, I disagree with your last paragraph, because I think they did that solely for free publicity.

Trump is going to lose to Biden roughly in line with what Romney lost to Obama, nationally... and close in the EC (Trump will take FL, but lose AZ and GA)

And I think people from both sides would agree that Obama was a significantly better candidate than Biden (and most certainly Hillary).

Yet Trumpism is going to reshape the GOP's future, while Romney is just a sad loser who is mocked? Total idiocy.

I think they did that to help Raffensberger get some free positive press in anticipation of Raffensberger running for governor after Kemp's had two terms. Telling two senators from your own party to pound sand . . . helps his credibility among the purpling constituency here . . . .

Romney said that the GOP's policies haven't been rejected because GOP candidates did well in the house and senate, plus in the state legislatures. He said that this election is really about the rejection of one man, which of course is Trump.

Yet all those Pubs who were elected refuse to reject that same one man.

Obviously big variations by region. New Hampshire, GOP won the trifecta at the state level. But Trump lost by 7.5 points, and the Dem Senator won by 15 points.

NH voters are obviously more astute and have no issue with heavy ticket splitting.

Even a raving lunatic socialist like @TheOriginalHappyGoat voted for a Republican governor.

There's hope yet.

I really am interested in the next two national elections (I would say polling prior to those elections but I feel like Charlie Brown running up to take the kick lately on that subject). Will Trump remain as the de facto standard bearer for this new look Republican party or will he lose interest and fade away. I'm certain the Republicans prefer the latter but they may have a problem generating excitement within their base (whatever that is anymore) without Trump's name at the top of the ticket nor his "endorsement". The Dems have their own host of problems as well with what is certain to be a tremendous amount of infighting between the center and progressive wings of the party. Should be a good watch from a purely political perspective and, hopefully, a better one than the last 4 years.

Biden appears to be a one termer. The more left wing of the Dem party is going to see this as an opportunity to assert some kind of pressure, and, without someone as disdainful as Trump on the ticket the Dems are likely to lose that voting bloc lest they adopt some more left leaning philosophies.

Feels to me like both parties might have some soul searching to do prior to 2022 (which is to say, very soon) and ahead of 2024.

In New Hampshire?

Awwwmmmm . . . .

There are actually two Georgia runoffs going on at the same time:

1. Warnick v. Loeffler (Ms. Qanon).
2. Perdue v. Ossof.

I love the fact that Georgia's other state Republicans are now pressuring the Republican Secretary of State to knuckle under to Trump's worldview of "election corruption." This will speed up Georgia's conversion to a blue state in years to come.

Without editing, I am linking the article. If this is the future of GOP or this country for that matter, I don't know what to say.

It may be time for GOP to change or drop the first word; there's nothing "grand" about!
Are you sure that quote is complete? It would make more sense to read, "They don't want the free ride to end."

(No complaints. Just asking.)

Raw story is highly factual reporting

I hope they do take over. It’s exactly what that party deserves. Let them sucker the rubes for donations all day everyday. Plus it’s good advertising for landscaping businesses and dildo shops.
