I just heard Governor Daniels is retiring from Purdue effective January 1, 2023. He has done an excellent job there.
I hope it is his intention to run for President, the nation needs a fresh start.

Haven’t seen him play, but he looks talented

Mason and I are here at Southport High School for the Indiana vs Kentucky Senior All-Star game.

Incoming Indiana freshman CJ Gunn will be playing tonight. He dropped 20 pts last night in Game 1. This will be his final game of his high school career.

Tip off at around 7:30 EST. We will have updates throughout.

Driving south for a wedding. Within 5 minutes of crossing the KY state line, we see a guy with what looks like a big cute dog sitting on his lap, with his head hanging out the window. As we get closer we are staring and roll down windows to say hi to the cute doggo. As we pull up, we realize the guy is holding a dead deer’s head. As he is driving down I75. What kind of person does this? Lol I’m still thinking about it.

I’m trying to understand all the titles under everyone’s names (Newcomer, Recruit, Redshirt, Benchwarmer, Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, Senior, All-Big10, All-American, Hall of Famer) and I’m just wondering how you achieve them? I imagine it has to do with the number of threads created, replies, and views. Is there a place on this site that I can find that information? I have seen this for years and really never knew how they broke it down.

It is a "Rocky" movie set in contemporary times and played on a basketball court. It's not the best movie I have seen this year but it was very enjoyable with a ton of big time NBA personalities playing themselves..

Enquiring minds want to make plans.

Will Boudin get the boot?

Ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles are huge bottlenecks. The reasons are obvious and have been building for months. California gig worker law essentially eliminated independent contractor truck drivers and owner-operator drivers from regular freight shippers and routes. Fewer trucks and drivers are available. Vaccine mandates have eliminated employees from any employer who does any unrelated government business. Unemployment compensation benefits trimmed the labor force in the transportation and warehousing industries. All of this is overlain by not only the busiest consumer goods time of the year, but the government deliberately pumping cash into the economy which stimulates even more demand.

Meanwhile we have a transportation secretary who spent his entire time in office focusing on green transportation, more transportation taxes, and fixing racist interstate highways.

Once the looming freight delivery crisis exploded in his face Buttigieg yammered about task forces and round table discussions and lamented how complicated his transportation job is. His and Biden’s solution? Run the ports 24/7. Still no truckers, still no warehouse workers, still no transportation workers.

What would Trump do?

1. Ask (demand) California suspend the gig economy rules for every employer in the transportation industry.
2. Suspend all employment related vaccine mandates in the transportation and warehousing industries.
3. Provide funds or other incentives to all employers in the transportation and warehousing industries to offer hiring bonuses.

Market is seemingly at its peak and here we go...

Gunn had a team-high 20 points in a 104-77 win for Indiana.
