How does adding the PAC-12 schools impact us in terms of recruiting?

On the surface, it feels pretty bad, because we don't have, and never really had at any time recently, any West-Coast recruiting presence, so I can't imagine we will benefit much on the recruiting trail out in California from this move. Plus, USC adds another blueblood school to the conference, who already had nationwide appeal and will now have a more direct connection to Midwestern recruits. That can only lead to further thinning out of the talent pool for the middle and low-tier conference schools in a region that isn't amazingly talent-rich to begin with.

Additionally, I worry that IU's almost entirely Southern recruiting pipeline, which has been good for us, might become a problem. We don't have much of a Eastern Seaboard or West Coast presence, it doesn't seem like, and now our best recruiting ground is going to become the only part of the country left that is solidly outside the Big Ten's sphere of influence or appeal. I worry that the SEC hold and pull on recruits' minds down South will only get stronger if the SEC pushes to get to 20 as the rumors suggest, presumably by cannibalizing the ACC's strongest programs. And if it does, what will that do to our chances in the states where Allen's connections to coaches and schools are the most fruitful?

Kokomo Monster

As he was referred to last year the " kokomo monster" I thought he was maybe just a raw project they know have him ranked #6. Do we know if we are after him at all?

This update’s highest rankings debut belongs to Indiana-based prospect

Flory Bidunga
, who crashed the Rivals150 at No. 6 and sits within striking distance of the top five. Rivals.com’s Travis Graf pushed Bidunga up the list after multiple viewings of the 6-foot-9 forward.

Bidunga remains a bit raw, but his size, strength and explosiveness are tantalizing to say the least. He’s tracking as one of the top big men in the 2024 class despite holding just a few offers. Wake Forest, Creighton and Bradley have already made things official. Expect to see the Kokomo (Ind.) High School star’s list of options expand with haste this summer.

Coach Q&A: Jordan Hulls discusses return to Indiana

"This was an opportunity I couldn't pass up."

Jordan Hulls discusses his decision to retire from professional basketball and return to Bloomington as part of the Indiana men's basketball staff.

OT: Michigan coach headed to Clemson...

Clemson is hiring UM's Erik Bakich as its new head coach after spending 10 years with the Wolverines. He replaces Monte Lee who was fired after Clemson failed to make the NCAAs for the 2nd straight season. Clemson got off to that big start to the season by sweeping IU in three games and went 14-0 before losing their first game, but they ended up 35-23 on the season. Notre Dame's Link Jarrett is considered the front runner to take over the Florida State job after the Seminoles fired Mike Martin Jr. after three seasons there. The Noles had winning seasons the past two years and made the NCAAs, but that wasn't good enough for the school and the fans. Martin had his first season with them canceled because of Covid after starting the season 12-5.

Lying is OK if the government does it

I know the permanently brain damaged won't read it, but this is how the government is operating today in targeting political opponents.

And a more detailed video which they won't watch, either.

Imagine if you will, a world where people didn’t give a rip about . . .

What boxes you checked with your life. Biden has created a government office and task force about protecting women, children, LGBTQI+, and people of color, from online shenanigans. The only group excluded are straight white adult males who actually identify as who they really are. And why aren’t senile old white males who are not capable of independent living included in this protected class? I guess being POTUS has its privileges. Lord knows if this task force is a Biden idea or some stupid idea of a naive staffer educated in a system of micro aggressions and safe spaces.

Why do we need, flags, banners, colors, initials, invented genders, weird pronouns, weeks, days, months, and special task forces for people to feel good about themselves? Shouldn’t we let ambition, creativity, accomplishments, words, and deeds define us? Isn’t this the world we should strive for instead of the endless proliferation of bullshit addressing our immutable characteristics, both real and made up? We destroyed an economy and two years of education with ill-conceived government-ordered protections, now we are destroying individuals with more of the same. Who in the hell has the right to say that a person of color is more vulnerable to cyber misconduct than a white? Thats insulting, demeaning and destructive. And Biden and Harris have already said that POC don’t have access to the internet, don’t know how to get an ID to vote or sign up for the vaccine, so WTF is the problem?

I asked my stoker this morning if she felt better now that the United Stares government appointed Kamala to protect her from on line abuse? She asked if Kamala will post daily hints to Wordle to be seen only by women, girls, LGBTQI+ and people of color?

Note to the government:; how about task forces to address real issues like:

  • Drugs and overdoses
  • The coming food shortages
  • Energy shortages
  • Out of control crime
  • Single parent households.

We are fooked

End of rant.
