What other fanbases don’t realize

My take on why he wouldn't leave. He's 62 and has the support. If he continues to do what he has, he will go down as a legend (sort of already is) at IU and the greatest coach of all time for the program. If he were to leave in a year or two and go to a more well known program, all he can do in his years left is be just another successful coach in a line of successful coaches. Go to Florida State, Bowden will still be their best. Go to Alabama, still behind Bryant and Saban.

Stay at IU and eventually your lasting legacy is going to be a statue outside the stadium and possibly the field named after you. Welcome to Memorial Stadium and Cignetti Field.

His ability to build a lasting legacy is greater at IU than most other programs and since you already have the ball rolling here why start over. He came to the BIG because he recognized that only the BIG and SEC will be the relevant ones and get the lions share of the money. So tell me, which Big or SEC school could you go to that has the blank slate that IU presents to build your legacy.

McAfee and gang addressed this on his show today after a great interview with Cig. All of them seem to think he will be happy in Bloomington and stay for many of those reasons.
I just go by what he says here at the 33 min mark of this clip and that’s good enough for me.
We need to hold onto Whitten. If we get some clown in here that is like Miles Brand and won’t commit to football, that’s a bad deal in this scenario.

Good Russian interference article . . .

Well, it’s important in a democracy that the people who supported losing candidates recognize the winning candidates as legitimate leaders.

Ultimately, that was the biggest problem with Trump’s despicable behavior after the last election. And it was also bad that many people were led to believe that Russian meddling affected the outcome in 2016.

We shouldn’t want to continue this cycle.
I know. I already agreed. I'm saying we should still be very concerned with foreign governments - especially adverse ones - brainwashing our citizens. Whether or not it changes any election, it's a national security threat.

Mas has repeatedly alluded to post-election violence against his political enemies. What if a guy like him commits some atrocity because of something he swallowed from RT or Sputnik?

What's that got to do with the price of tea in China? My concern is entirely different.

Unbelievable

In all seriousness, it's unlikely anyone was going to use these registrations to cast fake votes. Much more likely is that some canvassers who were being paid per registration filled out some extra lines in order to get paid more money. Of course, that's still illegal and wrong, and can cause serious problems, so I hope they are identified and punished, and I also hope whichever PAC is behind their efforts is also punished for severe lack of oversight.

Hillary Clinton has attributed her loss on more than one occasion to Russian meddling and said that Trump was thus an “illegitimate” president.

And, I have to say, it’s a little rare to come across Democrats who have chastised her for doing it.

I've been consistent since 2016 on these points:

1. We have no idea if Russian interference was substantial enough to change the outcome of any elections.
2. Even if it was, that doesn't make the results invalid. A legal voter's vote still counts, even if their choice was driven by susceptibility to foreign misinformation.

So let's stay away from this straw man. Having citizens targeted by foreign governments, and believing the disinformation that is sent there way, is a dangerous situation, regardless of any elections.

Zach Edey tonight

He fits the "lob guy" role. The NBA is all about how many 3s your team can shoot per game. That leads to defenses jumping out at shooters creating a rim run, which leads to help D and a lot of dunks for guys who's only job is diving to the basket. TJD does this for GS.
It's not guys jumping out at shooters that's creating a lob opportunity, it's the guy beating his defender penetrating into the defense causing a 2 on 1 situation with the post player and putting that player to a choice. Pay better attention ....

GameDay @ Bloomington just announced...

Just drove past the Game Day set. Cranes erecting the last of the stage. "Stanford Steve" was on stage, unfortunately I forgot his name at the time. Would have yelled at him if he had a betting tip for me this weekend. Would post pics but can't get them off my phone to our website. Give me a break I just turned 61. Go Hoosiers!
Is the stage on the grass lot or is it essentially in the same spot it as Big Noon was?
