I was there yesterday. Heading south on 69 in the dark and it was a line of cars heading to Btown. Tailgating scene was immaculate even at 8:00am. Stadium was full about an hour before kick. Student section was nuts and the kids stayed til the end. I was with some friends and we would randomly look around and say “I never thought I’d see this.” It was truly incredible. #CigCignetti
I've "experienced" GameDay a couple times at the Texas State Fair kinda in passing, but have never been there 2+ hours before showtime, standing around in the dark. Was kinda surreal. Like those 7am soccer games where you can barely see the sun peeking in the east, it's dark and cold, but the lights and buzz make it feel like a Saturday night. 6am Indy 500 feel kinda as well.
Told my kid we'd roll at 5:30am, thinking no way she's ready...sure enough she wakes me at 5:15 like it was Christmas morning, PISSED I wasn't ready. 😄
Great game. Offense was a little pedestrian, but Udub can tackle, and did.
We get Rourke back, and lose no one else, I can see us competing with OSU and Oregon.
