Woodson

There was one play last night that says it all about MM. Coming down the stretch and IU is desperately trying to get back it and MM rebounds a missed shot just outside the rim for a put back, but he lays the shot back up and it bounces off the rim for a UCLA rebound. He’s 6’9” and was a foot away from the rim, so why not emphatically slam it back to make sure it goes down and also fire up the crowd and team?

Maybe because he had a bum ankle?

Woodson

has had a horrible year, easily a top 3 roster in the big, but overall, just a bunch of mix matched players. you can't have a head coach who basically has no role in evaluating the recruits that are brought into the program. if he kept all the promises he made to the individual players, we would have about 9 guys on the court at all times. Tucker will average 15 at Maryland next year. Reneau will be one of the better Bigs in the SEC. Rice will be a standout point guard somewhere; Carlyse is way better than what Woodson got out of him. MM is what he is, overrated spot up shooter, I don't fault Woodson with him kid just has no motor. last night was the nail in the coffin, win a very winnable game I think we had a very reasonable chance to make the NCA
Cup half full view - IU hires a proven winner. He keeps the nucleus together and puts it all together showing what an awesome coach can do.

Drake Coach Ben McCollum Reads Like A CCC Resume

FWIW, Dakich thinks McCollum is the best basketball coach in college ball. He compares him to John Beilein in how he runs his offense and how he gets the most out of his players. Now, I can't stand Dakich however I do think he knows his stuff about the game and I was surprised to see him say this. Perhaps McCollum would be a HR like Cignetti.
I thought no one listened to Dakich??

Drake Coach Ben McCollum Reads Like A CCC Resume

Shertz is a better hire. Runs a much more modern system. What he did at D2 was incredible. Quickly turned ISU around. Took over a dumpster fire in STL and already has them doing fine.
What he did with the talent on that ISU team was remarkable. I couldn’t figure out why he went to St Louis so guessed the money must be much better. I looked at his successful D2 teams and had never heard of them so suspect he never made much money.
