Hoosiers

Good friend of mine is a NEB alum & big fan. He said when they fired Pelini they were fvcking up. Said he was an asshole and didn't get along with the big donors and all that shit.

He went to Youngstown State, didn't he? I haven't heard anything about him since, one way or the other.
He was a prick, by all accounts, yes. He always had that crazed look, to me. Maybe the stress got to him, like it got to Knight, where he just wasn't media friendly.

No idea what happened to him after that.

Kelly on Trump

A few different responses:

1) You just linked a chart referencing what "bookies" thought of the election as evidence of why the electorate voted a certain way. Come on. Be serious. Should I point to a chart referencing what people at the local barbershop thought to counter it?

2) Trump's handling of Covid is the salient thing there. It's part of why many people turned away from him. It's not the Covid. It's the Trump.

3) What else happened right around that same time? It's another big reason why suburban women turned away from Trump and towards Biden.

4) I've already agreed that she needs to spend more time on selling herself. I just don't think it's the only pitch like you seem to.

I think the electorate is complex and that everyone is still grappling with who is actually going to turn out to vote. Harris needs to drive turnout however she can and I'm not sure that her campaign had enough runway to really do it. They've had just four months to piece it together and this has been the most turbulent four months I can remember in an election cycle.

Appreciate the conversation.

This is what I’m getting at about her using time and attention to do what she needs to do instead of wasting it on harping about Trump.

These are comments from friendly media people on her town hall performance…

October surprise!

let me guess. trump is hitler. we're not going back. i was born and raised middle class. hahahahhaha you know what i'm sayin. i know you do. hahahhaha you feel me. hahhahahahha. but seriously. this is a moment. a moment in time. and that's so profound. when you think about it. that this is a moment in time. and i think we all need to take a moment to appreciate that significance of time. as we think about what can be, unburdened by what has been. i think that answers your question on the economy as well as the border and energy
Deer in the headlights. It was bad.

October surprise!

I'm not going to dignify unsupported ugly rumors by linking them, but you guys didn't link the Walz rumors, either, so I think we're on even ground, here. Why do you need a link? Are you saying your newsfeed that so quickly gave you the BS about Walz has failed to provide you with the new Trump rumors?
Sorry. I'm too busy laughing at these stupid mother****ers.

She is the only choice we have but if Harris says she is going to curb inflation one more time by

I can't see how any red bloodied American can even consider casting a vote for Trump. He's the antithesis of what America is all about. He's rude, insulting, disrespectful, a liar, and has absolutely no respect for anyone. If you cross him today, you'll be in his crosshairs tomorrow. Those who are closely allied with him now, apparently don't realize or understand, that they can be his mincemeat at any time. Loyalty to him is above loyalty to the Constitution or to America. Consider this. America fired him four years ago. What has he done in the mean time to be rehired? I can think of nothing. He's only been deeply critical of his opponent and continues to bury himself with his crudeness. Eighty-one million Americans could not be wrong four years ago. America, please wake up. Not only is our democracy at home at stake, but our reputation and standing abroad is in jeopardy. You do remember how our allies viewed us, don't you. I love this country, want only the best for it, and just got to believe that most of you (electorally) want the same. Therefore, please go vote with only the love of country in mind.
You just changed my vote. Thank you!

Game day Parking

Holy smokes, I can’t explain this season. Anyhow, going to be making my first trip to BTown since the 2014 game against Missouri, I’ve never dealt with a football scene this packed.

I’ve heard about the parking passes and all that, we are fine to walk a decent distance. Any suggestions? Any good places to park early and walk and hop to some bars/breweries along the way even if it takes a while?
