Polls - - a week out

Oh Indiana Ds are a nonfunctional party no doubt. I will say McCormick is leaps and bounds a better candidate than Woody Myers was. Also, the Ds are running much more moderate candidates for statewide elections this cycle. I know they aren’t your cup of tea, but McCormick, Goodin, and Wells are not progressives. I also know your thoughts on abortion, so I get that.

Like Ive said before, mine is probably just a frustration that I don’t have a home anymore. I can’t support a Braun and Beckwith ticket. I could also never vote for Rokita. I don’t think a Mitch Daniels is walking through that door in this iteration of the Indiana GOP.
Liked because I get it. I vote for the GOP because I don't feel the other options are a choice for me. South Park nailed our elections a long time ago. Turd Sandwich vs. Giant Douche.

Polls - - a week out

This is a wild fkn poll from one of the most respected pollsters that's ever existed.

This last week was a disaster for him. Harris will win
Lmao. Everyone knew that was coming. Ann has full blown TDS and was bought off by the Dems to manufacture this poll. It's not why Pritzker knew it was coming out at +3 a day in advance. Look at the cross tabs.

Also look at voter registration trends in IA. It's going Trump by 10 points easy.

And Emerson just dropped their IA poll yesterday. A real poll.

All 3 teams in front of us were upset....lol

Not so fast, my friend. Get that 1st round home field advantage if you want a leg up controlling that destiny.

Need to finish
You're selling this IU team short. They're beating Ohio State. OSU lost by 1 at Oregon. Home field is worth at least 3pts if not more. That tells me OSU would beat Oregon on a neutral site and at home. If IU beats OSU at the Shoe, that tells me IU will also beat Oregon anywhere we would play, let alone in Indy. I expect we get the #1 seed.

Thoughts after 2 exhibition games

Would someone provide a cogent explanation of how IU benefits from playing Marian. The exhibition against Tennessee gave both teams a baseline from which to measure progress. Other than minutes for TG, Tucker and Newton Marian gave IU nothing. MR scoring at will does not prepare him to score in the B1G. Wouldn't IU be far better off scheduling an exhibition against a tough mid-major? A practice with Butler would have far more teaching points than a game against Marian.

Cognitive dissonance game moment: Pat Knight's team playing a 1-3-1 zone
Man, everyone wants to complain. You think we're the only team that plays a cupcake in preseason? Many teams play 2. We played a good opponent for a test and gauge on where we are and we played a cupcake vs a team with terrific IU ties, maybe as a favor to them, but also a "feel good" game for fans, some of whom can't always get tickets to regular season games. 0 reason to complain on that.

We got a contender

Last 20 years
Purdue - 454 wins
IU - 376 win

Pretty significant difference. Winning makes a fanbase much more enjoyable especially while not living in the past.
Continue with the apathy and those memories from yesteryear!
Said nothing about IU. We're not even relevant on the national scene. I was merely pointing out that the "accomplishments" you mentioned are not really relevant either. You've done well in a conference during the greatest swoon it's known in anyone's lifetime. Congratulations?

SCOTUS ruling VA

Seriously? Trump is the first president of the modern era chosen by the people, not the party, not the rulers, not the lobbyists, not the influenceers, not the elitetes, not superdelegates—the voters. Contrast that to how and why Kamala is on the ballot.

The sad part is those who reject the voters choice and I guess want “The Republican Party” to reject their own voters.
Even though I don't like Trump that is true about who chose the president. And I think a lot of him being chosen was because he wasn't one the elites. People were tired of the status quo.

Mea Culpa

I predicted 42-14. It was 47-10. My bad. I'm still cautious but now it has nothing to do with IU but the fact that, in my lifetime, I've never seen an IU football team like this. How do I act? I find myself feeling like a hiker in the woods and night has fallen, hoping you don't step off a cliff, that the other shoe doesn't drop, that you don't discover where the chickens have come to roost. You can't discount the remaining games (even if Purdue is sucking) but 12-0? Why the hell not. I may grow hair, win the lottery or take a beautiful Colombian bride. Seems all manner of miracles are possible.

All 3 teams in front of us were upset....lol

Yes, Lots of points to pick up.

Gamecocks beat #10 TAMU
UL beat #11 Clemson
#3 Penn State didn’t score a TD on offense on #4 O$U
#20 SMU beat #18 Pitt
Houston beat #17 K-State
Gophers beat #24 Illinois
Washington beat USC to get to 5-4
ND was idle

47 unanswered points appears to be the most dominant performance this week.
Resume to date, PSU will be frustrating to have ahead of us.

Just for kicks I googled

Last off season the word I read was if Rourke went pro, he'd be heading to play in the CFL. I suppose partly driven by his Canadian background.

He's played his way into an NFL draft pick now.
,
This is great and he deserves it — knock on wood he stays healthy and keeps it up. I also love what it means for recruiting.
