Which Hoosier on our roster has the best shot

This is a tough one. You don't really know what you have until you face higher levels of competition. The one player that is getting numbers and playing hard on both sides of the ball is Rice. He looks like the most sustainable. As far as far as elevating their game, Ballo looks like he's holding back a bit right now, being used improperly a bit. He could. Mgbako will probably have stretches where he is very good and will be engaged, but may disappear and be disinterested for stretches, especially on the defensive end.

Rice
If Ballo isn't playing hard, or is holding back, and he improves his numbers going forward as a result...he'll contend for National POY. As it stands, he's averaging 12 points, 10 rebounds, and 3 blocks a game.

If he continues with those types of numbers, I would say he's definitely most likely to get All Conference First Team. Rice will have to beat out Smith, Thornton, Harper, Illinois' new foreign guard, etc... Mack and Malik will have Sandfort, Bailey, Garcia, amongst others. Not nearly as many centers for Ballo to have to stand out against. They obviously don't always pick true centers for first team, but there would be a good chance they would if Ballo keeps averaging what he is. I think IU would probably also have to be a competitive team as well though too.

Woodson needs to loosen his tie up

63 yo rookie coach with two short stints as a mediocre NBA coach. He retained the staff from the previous losing regime. We're in the "coulda been worse" category. We're in the same place UNC was between Dean Smith and Roy Williams except Woody is our Hubert Davis and Roy left him in a better place. I guess Woody is Guthridge, Daugherty and Hubert Davis rolled up on one.

I predict ND will lose to USC. That would make 2 losses to unranked teams for ND….it should boot them from the CFP but who knows how the politics work.
They have to put 7 at large teams in though, and with the SEC teams seriously cannibalizing themselves, ND could easily get in with another loss. Probably not likely, there will be enough B10, SEC, and probably a 2nd ACC team, that would have better cases. But the more SEC candidates that lose, the better chance a 2 loss ND team would have.

From what I have seen so far

Don’t have time to read your whole post, but I don’t like people acting like he was good. He didn’t nothing. We didn’t even make the tournament. I wish he never came to IU. Just like Kaleb banks or CJ Gunn to me.
He was really good. And nothing like those examples you used. You've got a lot of good content on here. This one makes you sound like a huge douche bag.

Suckeyes Victory Formation

If you want to run a play and score a touchdown at the end with the game out of reach to send a message, that's fine. But line up, and run a play. When you get into "victory formation", you are sending a universal signal to the other team that you don't intend to score and they can relax so no one gets hurt. It's bush league and chickensh!+ to do otherwise. If I'm playing OSU in the future and they line up in victory formation, I tell my interior linemen to expect a play and blast the qb when the ball snaps. I would expect the Buckeyes not to complain given the precedent set for deception.

I have no issues with them scoring on that last drive. I do think increasing the margin, over a top 5 team, had benefits for OSU. I'd have done the same.

Where it became bush league, was the fake victory formation. There's an unwritten rule about not going hard after offensive players when they're in the victory formation. That tactic should have been "beneath" Day and OSU. But he's a douche bag. He proves it over and over again. Whether its yelling on national TV about something Lou Holtz, of all people, said...or running a damn fake victory formation play to get some more points... He's not suited to run one of the premier programs in the country. And when they fizzle out over the next month, like they usually do under Day... I won't have an ounce of pity for him.

Video games other millennial dads question

Army men were the best growing up. My dad would get so pissed: I'd have the entire basement floor covered with a giant battle of green v. gray, and of course Navarone with its cannons on top in the back.

The Onion buys Infowars

He bought Twitter and fired 80% of the employees without a noticeable loss of function. He cut the cost of launching a kilo into orbit by 75%. He brought high speed dependable internet to rural America, and to most of the world, for around $100 per user per month. There is no team here. He is the guy.

Was launching a kilo into orbit that big of a thing?

Seems like a waste to me.

If we went to ND, there would be a lot of IU fan interest in going to that game, and there are a lot of IU fans within close driving distance (duh).

It's not uncommon for ND's stadium to be taken over. IU wouldn't quite be like the UGA or OSU games there, but there would be quite bit of red in the crowd.

I am getting too far ahead -- we've got to beat PU first and they have to win at USC.
I would be shocked if ND stadium is overtaken by opposing fans in a playoff game. The few examples where large groups of visitors got seats there are during regular season games when the team was down. This is a playoff game. Not going to happen.
Although, the reversible jacket crowd will be in a bit of a bind because IU basketball plays Dec 21st at home against Chattanooga and if this game ends up being one of the 3 games they play on….yep….Dec 21st, what on earth will they do?🤣

Democrats have left moderate voters behind

On certain issues, I totally agree with this.

On other issues, Republicans need to be careful not to do the same thing. The first and most obvious one is abortion.

I've been saying this for years - if they dropped the Abortion debate (and I acknowledge why many won't, for religious reasons and otherwise), it would be a red landslide for several elections, but more importantly, would force Dems to move back towards more moderate stances.

Suckeyes Victory Formation

When you come in the Front door barking the two best historical B10 teams suck, they will take notice and remind you who the Big Dogs are.

Being the "big dog" in that situation means lining up and daring the defense to stop you, man v man. Running a play from victory formation makes you a bitch.

Or...he accomplished something only a fraction of the population ever accomplishes. Did he bang your girlfriend or something? You obviously have some valid points, but your dislike for Romeo is weirdly emotional.

You don't have to "care about HS" to respect someone scoring well over 3000 points, for a big school, in Indiana. None of the fellas you've championed in recent years at IU have that gumption or that ability. And I'm not sure you understand, or give enough credit, for what he faced in high school. Every single game he played was circled on the opposing teams calendar. He was double teamed, caught dirty play, in most of his games. One of your recent favorites, X...there's zero chance he'd have made through a half season without getting in to a fight and completely flying off the handle if he faced what Romeo faced. And no, that's not an endearing thing, or any sort of sign of toughness. If anything, the exact opposite.

Do you know him personally? I know his body language was hard for some to deal with. But the kid not only scored historically high amounts of points, for a freshman at IU, he also averaged over 5 rebounds a game, over 2 assists a game, and was often tasked with guarding the other teams best perimeter scorer. Archie wasn't a great coach, but I doubt Romeo plays 34+ minutes a game, and has those roles, if he was actually lazy.

Romeo isn't a high level outside shooter though, on that you are 100 percent correct. He wasn't in high school, though I believe he pushed close to 40% from the 3 in high school. But even without the hand injury, he was never going to be a 40+ percent 3 point shooter at the higher levels of play. But to completely discount the torn ligaments in his shooting hand (that still effects him to this day, for what its worth)... it all seems a little disingenuous, and emotional.
