CFP Rankings Prediction

I'm not sure who is ranking Clemson ahead of Alabama.

Georgia beat Clemson by 31. Alabama beat Georgia.

Alabama would be 10 point favorites on a neutral field over Clemson.
RN the Big XII Champ would jump to 12 in final the seeding, knocking Clemson back to 13. Which doesn't make me said as I'm not a big Clemson guy 😂

Did Cignetti's Words Fire Up OSU?

C'mon Man. He's explained his reasoning that he basically sensed IU had accepted a losers mentality and he was tired of it. He's a smart guy, but he ain't perfect. That's a stretch. Cignetti wasn't here and said nothing about OSU sucking and yet we'd lost to them, what, 29 straight times? We're 10-1, and likely as hell to be 11-1 and in the college football playoffs, and you want to complain about something he said last January? I guess if you want to find something to complain about, you did, but the guy has taken us to a level no one would have thought possible in 1 friggin' year. I think we can forgive something as minor as that.

Besides, he wasn't lying!
Yep, IU fb is on it's greatest run in our lifetime & this guy is complaining because of something CCC said 10-months ago. There's at least "one" in every crowd. :(

🚨🚨 It is time to invoke the 25th Amendment

...of the United States Constitution for the removal from Office of President Joe Biden. His mental decline has rendered him incapable of competently executing his Oath of Office. This is evidenced by his abject recklessmess in allowing U.S. long-range ATACMS to be used against Russian territory by Ukraine. This absurd action 1) defies the will of the American people, who just voted for peace instead of continued war in Ukraine and 2) has brought the world to the very brink of nuclear war. President Biden's own words previously acknowledged that such action would lead to World War III. Either President Biden wants World War III or his mental decline has reached the stage where he can no longer keep track of his own positions. Either way this man can not be entrusted with our nation's nuclear trigger.

Russian President Valdimir Putin, in response to the use of U.S. ATACMS and British Stormshadow missiles by Kiev, has lowered the threshold for the use of nuclear weapons by Moscow. And now the U.S. Department of Defense has updated its own Nuclear Deterrence strategy, including 'enhanced readiness of nuclear armed and powered Ohio-class submarines'. According to weapons inspector Scott Ritter, this action signals American readiness to conduct 'a pre-emptive nuclear strike [via Trident Missiles] against Russia’s strategic nuclear forces...to eliminate most of Russia’s nuclear weapons.'

We are nearing the very top of the escalation ladder where the only action left to take is the actual launch of nuclear weapons. We must act swiftly and decisively before it is too late for the United States, Russia, and the rest of the World.
Shut up, pussy.

Sec of Education - Holy Moly

1. It should work towards ensuring we have an educated citizen population in order to make a democracy work (I'm not even sure that's possible in a nation the size of ours, though).

2. It should be funding and guiding research--actual, honest to god scientific research--into the best pedagogical methods for math and reading and later other subjects, along with the best, useful, and most efficient methods of evaluating students' and teachers' performance.

3. It should encourage the development of ideologically neutral curriculums that are engaging, rigorous, and informative.

4. It should be facilitating communication and cross-talk between K-12 schools and the trades and other, non-academic job settings to ensure education can turn out good citizens, ensure the nation's leadership in being an educated and technological superpower, and provide people useful to the work force at all levels.

Regarding at least (2) and (3), it is downright silly to think that local school boards or administrators can do this on their own. It's more akin to an R&D problem that requires a long-term committment with no assurance of profitability.
What should the D of Ed be doing that the states don’t do? Education is state driven because we are a republic and not a unitary democracy - Always has been always will be.

So again, what do we need to D of Ed at a federal level to do? To do your #3, it’d have to be huge and would trample over the states. #1 is a fantastical dream.

Did Cignetti's Words Fire Up OSU?

With losses by Colorado, Mississippi, Alabama and BYU, it looks like Indiana will still make the twelve team NCAA football playoffs unless they stumble badly against Purdue. But I hope that Coach Cignetti learned a valuable lesson. You never say that any opponent sucks and you especially don't do that if your opponent is OSU. I have never heard of better bulletin board material than that if you are OSU. The only good thing about yesterday is that OSU now considers IU a worthy opponent but Cignetti needs to eat some humble pie and just shut up.

"What's in it for us?"
Trump doesn't understand that military alliances aren't zero sum. He thinks Europe gets more than us out of NATO, which may be true. But he also seems to think if we pull out, we somehow take all that security with us and become safer, at Europe's expense. Which is nonsense; if we pull out, everyone becomes less safe. Because alliances aren't zero sum; they are greater than the sum of their parts, but only when intact.
