🚨🚨 It is time to invoke the 25th Amendment

This isn't a proxy war between us and Russia, it's an actual war between Ukraine and Russia. We certainly have supplied arms to partner nations and allies at war for use against the other country. You should just stop posting. You can certainly stop replying to me because I think your opinions are absolutely worthless. And don't ankle bite - that's pure cowardice.
It absolutely is a proxy war. There’s no getting around that.

Cav thinks Woodson's teams play hard

I looked and Woodson averaged 35 minutes per game over all four of his seasons at IU. Right now Rice is high on the team with 31 minutes per game with Ballo and MM with 27-28 minutes per game and this, on average, low energy ball. Where he came up with these substitution patterns is beyond me unless purely imagination.

I understand backing off up by 25 with three minutes left but don’t understand playing soft up by 12 in the first half.

IU just not good enough

Too much talent = being overmatched and 2024 OSU has to much talent for the Hoosiers. The 2nd half was simply a very strong, refined practice for the Buckeyes. I hate saying it but hated digesting it while watching it unfold even more. Cignetti will this offseason get more horses and they will want to come to Bloomington. Of that I'm certain. The program will be bigger and better next season.
might be a better team but won't go 11-1 everything broke perfect this year

🚨🚨 It is time to invoke the 25th Amendment

There are unwritten rules in proxy conflicts that you don’t strike the sponsor country of either side. China and Russia didn’t fire missiles at the U.S. homeland during Korea or Vietnam. We didn’t fire missiles at Russia when we were backing the mujahideen.

These latest actions are reckless and pointless. These missiles serve no useful purpose in helping Ukraine regain territory.

You are a blood soaked monster.
And Ukraine has no chance of winning this thing. Trump will negotiate the end of this war, if WWIII isn’t active.

Did Cignetti's Words Fire Up OSU?

You're complaining that they didn't take a knee in victory formation and scored. Who cares? Football is entertainment... ask our own coach.
Again, no one is complaining.......still. I'm saying it's bulletin board material. Go re-read what I said because either you didn't read it or you're lacking reading comprehension. I was defending Cigs statements and said getting the rise out of OSU gives us bulletin board material going forward. Life must be hard for you.

It absolutely does though.

When both our tackles were getting beat by a simple shoulder rip and then just bringing an overload, yes, speed was an issue.
Then you have a TE in to double team. Or a RB to chip him.

Look, Baller, you're debating a Bears fan, here. I'm an expert in watching, bitching about, and obsessing over bad blocking, terrible O-line play, and dumb blocking schemes. I am also a baller at Madden 24 and now, EA Sports College Football '25 and can cook Tier 1 teams with the Hoosiers on there (the RPO Alerts with the single WR on one side and trips on the other is UNSTOPPABLE).

Hoosiers

Unrelated to your valid points, and I’m going to blatantly change the subject, but I’m going to “rant” just a bit about the game’s ending.

Now, I didn’t see it. I turned off the game and took my bride to Madison, GA for some Thanksgiving shopping when the fvcking Buckeyes hit 28 points. Somebody can correct the sequence, but as I understand it, an OSU running back downed the ball before scoring a touchdown but then Day called a play for a last score rather than taking a knee and ending the game. Is that pretty much correct? Okay, it’s valid to say that it’s IU’s job to stop us (OSU), but most would take the knee.

Then, this morning, I saw a picture of the video board at the shoe showing Cignetti at game’s end with the script, “Buckeyes win! . . .Google it.” (May not be exact, but it’s close if not precise) Okay, kind of funny - more appropriate for a handheld sign by a student - but I’m not sure I’d be real happy about it if I were associated with the university. How would we feel if the Assembly Hall video boards all showed “Purdue Sucks!” or “POTFB!” Leave it to the kids. The university shouldn’t be involved. We all know what Knight would have done with “Purdue Sucks” chants or having that flashed for all to see on TV screens around the country.

Anyway, another god-damned year of listening to obnoxious and repulsive OSU neighbors, their flags, banners and fvcking 8-foot blowup Brutus dolls.

Oh, well, POTFB!
I didn't watch it.

Cignetti fired up our base with his Ahia St sucks stunt and his emerging college football superpower line. I have no problem with it, given our absolutely dead expectations, etc. He's set the tone. But we have to pay the price for that--the powers that be are going to want to keep us down. If Day is recruiting against Cignetti, he's going to want to show those players we are a pretender. And right now, we are. Hopefully, Cignetti can recruit talent here to make IU a true football power.

However, I have to say this: I've been telling my friends on chats, texts, etc. that I feel like we just watched, in real time, IU football ascend to the absolute peak of its relevance, and then start the downward tumble with the muffed punt. It's rare to be able to pinpoint it in real time like that, let alone during a season. But our schedule broke so favorably this year, and Cignetti has given other programs a blueprint, perhaps, for copying our strategy, that I'm not sure we will ever be this close to the top again. I also think other coaches are going to put a target on our backs given Cignetti's post-game comments after a lot of these games.

Even if so, it was a wonderful ride, and if Cignetti can be our 90s-00s Alvarez, I'd be fine with that. It'll give me something to look forward to on Saturdays in the fall for the foreseeable future.

Gabbard a Terrorist

I think there is a lot of conflation of conservatives with those wanting policies favored by the right.

The philosophical underpinnings of conservatives is the recognition of a set of principles that recognize (1) a value to tradition, (2) a suspicion of unfettered "reason" based on a recognition of the limitations of human intelligence, and (3) the costs inherent in all change, with radical change perhaps being exponentially more costly, not linearly so.

Once you throw those away, I'm not sure the policy proscriptions those on the right favor are any more defensible--maybe less so--than the ones on the left.
Yeah. Yeah. What you wrote is essentially Chesterton’s Fence. Chesterton didn’t account for myriad functions that at best serve no real purpose and more likely degrade quality of life.

Edit: a self serving enterprise will always grow to serve itself.

Did Cignetti's Words Fire Up OSU?

With losses by Colorado, Mississippi, Alabama and BYU, it looks like Indiana will still make the twelve team NCAA football playoffs unless they stumble badly against Purdue. But I hope that Coach Cignetti learned a valuable lesson. You never say that any opponent sucks and you especially don't do that if your opponent is OSU. I have never heard of better bulletin board material than that if you are OSU. The only good thing about yesterday is that OSU now considers IU a worthy opponent but Cignetti needs to eat some humble pie and just shut up.
Almost certainly. And those words will fire up PU, too. That's not the sum of it though. The question is what it did for IU fans. This year has been validation for me and I believe that will hold true in the future.

CFP Rankings Prediction

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe this means we would be seeded #12 as the Big XII and Go5 Champs would both skip ahead of us. Which also means we would likely play one of them as the 5 - 12 match-up, and possibly even be favored. 😅
I don’t think that’s right. The 12 seed for IND I think is correct, but the 5 seed would be OSU in your mock (highest ranked non-champion). So we’d have a rematch in Columbus.

EDIT: Or if we’re ahead of AZST, then AZST would be 12 and IND 11, meaning it’d be ND we play.

Hoosiers

One of the best programs in history and always classless. Horrible crowd from the staff to the school to the fans.

Anyway. Let’s bring a positive light to it all. I played soccer in the horseshoe. You should see what that place looks like with a crowd of 1,500
You should be fined by the KC but it’s Sunday and we’re being forgiving and gracious.

I’ve been to the shoe once, when I had been transferred from Chicago to Columbus, and can happily say I saw OSU lose to Florida State, maybe ‘80 or ‘81.

Well..., the sun did come up...

Show of (virtual) hands... How many of you believed we'd be playing the worthless nuts for right to play in the Big Ten Championship Game in November, at their place, last August?

How many of you believed we had any chance at all of beating o-h-i-o $tate at their place back at the start of the season?

So..., the good news is we Won 10 straight going into to that game and the bad news is we're now 10-1..., with a great shot at bringing the Bucket back home, going 11-1, and being in the Playoff conversation... I can live with it...

The reality is that if we played that team with this Team 9 more times in a row we'd probably lose the next 9 by between 1 to 10 points every time... Unfortunately, they have that much more NFL talent... I don't like to admit it but it's a reality I can deal with... If they don't win the National Championship it'll be completely because Day f---'d up.

If our only regular season loss is to the most talented team in the country I'll grit my teeth and acknowledge it.

Let's focus on Bringing the Bucket Back and see where we stand this time next week...
