OT: best Pacers picks at #6, #31, and #58?

For #6, for sure the three bigs Jabari Smith, Chet, and Banchero are gone. Who slides? Ivey might be a good pick. Lots of mocks are saying Shadon Sharpe, and Keegan Murray comes up often too.

There is some decent depth in this draft and #31 might be an eventual rotation player. Too high for TJD, but 3-and-D wing, maybe?

#58 could be a nice spot for TJD, Cockburn, Harper, or some other development prospect with holes in their game to work on.

John Daly Briefly Leads the PGA Championship

I looked at the leaderboard and John Daly was in a 6 way tie for first at 2 under. He's since dropped to T8 at -1, but for a brief moment I was imagining him with a Marlboro Red dangling from his lips on the tee box and eating M&Ms while walking next to terrified co-leader Y.E. Yang who is is paired with him.

Brou on NIL

Chris Broussard and the rest of the gang on FTF were just talking about NIL and Saban. One thing he mentioned is that schools can directly talk to massive businesses to get kids from their institution internships and pipeline them in. Then they can tout that their MBA program or Law school produces direct links into such and such. This is going to be impossible for the NCAA to stop.

Very soon school will be able to work directly with boosters to facilitate these deals. Man, like a freaking rocket ship. Full blown business ladies and gents, as it should be.

Ty Bothwell is the B1G Pitcher of the Week...

He pitched 7 innings of no-hit, shutout ball in the the first game of the DH with the Gophers.

Is November Getting Bigger? Another Dem Denies The Science of Biology

So the economy and wanting transexualism taught in 3rd grade was gonna kill the Democrats in the mid-terms..

The rumored overturning of Roe maybe got them some bites back, although most folks who were pro-abortion were already in their camp.

This week, the Dems doubled down on the idiocy of denying biology, and had a dumbass testify that men can get pregnant and have abortions because everyone can "identify for themselves."

Aimee Arrambide, the executive director of Avow Texas, was asked by Rep. Dan Bishop, R-N.C., to define what "a woman is," to which she responded, "I believe that everyone can identify for themselves." When asked "Do you believe that men can become pregnant and have abortions?", Arrambide replied. "yes."

A bunch of Ph.D.'s may want to sit around in an ivory tower and discuss the nuances of sexual "identification," but Bubba won't.

Bubba used to vote straight ticket Democrat, having believed the big lie that the Dems were "for the working man."
But as they woke up and saw that was BS, and that the Dems felt they were Deplorable, the Dems lost Bubba.
So Bubba elected Trump.
And Bubba is gonna un-elect a BUNCH of Democrats in November.

Preview of the Iowa series...

There's been a shake-up of the starting rotation with Braydon Tucker on the mound for Thursday, and Perkins starting the Friday game with the usual TBA for game three on Saturday. There is absolutely no mention of Bradley Brehmer in the preview article, so I don't know if this was a coach's decision or maybe he has some kind of injury. Brehmer pitched the first two innings of the 2nd game with the Gophers last Saturday before it was suspended to Sunday with Bothwell finishing the game. Here's some team comparisons:

Hitting: IU - 5th, .283 avg., Iowa - 8th, .275 avg.
Pitching: IU - 12th with a team ERA of 6.88 and OBA of .267, Iowa - 1st with a team ERA of 3.46 and OBA of .203
Fielding: IU - 7th with a fielding pct of 0.973 and 49 errors (52 games), Iowa - 5th with a fielding pct of .0973 and 46 errors (47 games)

Note: I thought IU was pretty much a lock to finish last in pitching in the conference, but they have lowered their team ERA down enough to pass up 13th place Michigan in that category going into the regular season-ending series.

Weather forecast looks good with all three games being night affairs. Thursday and Friday night are expected to be dry and warm, while a front will be moving through on Saturday with rain expected during the day, but clearing up at night with the temps expected to be a high of 60 that day and a low of 45.

Saturday's game will be on national TV on ESPNU at 9 p.m. (ET).

Flipping channels caught the Lionel Ritchie, Gershwin Prize for popular music

The library of congress presents it or its recorded there in some fashion. I never really cared for Lionel Ritchie or his type of music, but the show caught my interest as other artist performed his hits, and I was kind of shocked at how prolific his career was as far as writing hits that after a couple of notes you recognize the song.

the other think that struck me is that older white people in suits shouldn't attempt to dance in public. the best seats in front where mostly filled with 70 somethings, dignitaries I suppose and their spouses, the various artist who performed Ritchie's hits would invariably ask the crowd to stand up and sing along, the geezers felt compelled to get up at the point and would do little turns with their bodies and pump their arms like they were attempting to ski uphill.

Trump to Oz: Just Say That You Won

Vote counts? Recounts? Race too close to call? Who cares! No need to wait. Just declare victory. Then if it's later determined the other guy won, just say he cheated.
