Kristi Noem is "disgusting, lazy and evil"

TL;DR version, she personally shot and killed a 14 month old dog she was having trouble training as a birddog. That quote in the subject line is from Montana gubernatorial candidate Ryan Busse. I agree with Busse.

She also admits that she put down a goat in a similar fashion because it was unruly and chased her kids around.

She's trying to position this as her being willing to do hard things. As recently as 10-15 years ago, this would have made her a political pariah. I'm guessing this will oddly endear her to the MAGA crowd and Trump will name her his VP candidate soon and they'll brag about this on stage at his stupid rallies to thunderous applause.

The U.S. had the highest rate of people struggling to afford enough food to feed themselves and their families of all G7 countries in 2023

According to a Gallop Poll

"Our nation is facing a hunger crisis," Kelly Horton, interim president of the Food Research & Action Center (FRAC), told Newsweek. "Even as one of the wealthiest nations in the world, about 44.2 million people live in households that struggle with hunger."

NBA Basketball

I don’t watch much NBA but occasionally watch some playoff action. I saw Embiid grab the legs of an opposing player while they were jumping/in the air and then purposely kick the same dude in the groin. Does this not warrant ejection and or suspension in the NBA? When he grabbed the legs of the guy jumping it was an unbelievably dangerous play

MSU 2024

Next up is MSU.

Possible Rotation guys:***

--6'2" Tre Holloman
--6'4" Jaden Aikens
--6'7" Frankie Fidler TR
--6'6" Coen Carr
--6'11" Carson Cooper
--6'3" Jase Richardson (#30 FR)
--6'11" Xavier Booker
--6'9" Jason Kohler
--6'2" Jeremy Fears

Others looking for PT: top 50ish FR Kur Teng; 6'5" Gehrig Normand; AJ Haggard will not be back, per Izzo he will be playing professionally somewhere.

Predictions: i would think MSU will have one of the top 5 deepest guard groups in the ncaa, Fears looks to be the backup for Holloman, who should break out as a pg. Aikens is a stud and FR Richardson, Normand, and FR Teng are all highly touted. I would think they'll frequently use a 3 guard lineup with Fidler splitting time with Carr at the other forward position. Cooper, Kohler & Booker at C, with Booker perhaps getting some time at 4 (?). The 4 & 5 spots aren't as impressive as the guards, but competent. Overall, this looks like a top 3 BT team.

***Szymon Zapola, 7'0" 240 lbs transfer from Longwood added. He is not a highly regarded transfer.

"Truth Social"

Anton Postolnikov, a noted Russian porn-site owner/billionaire, bankrolled Truth Social for Trump.

It's nothing compared to standing next to Putin in Helsinki and declaring to the world that you trust Putin over your own country, but it's not good.

Unless you're of the opinion that Putin has a good thing going on over in that part of the world.

Wake up.

Rutgers series preview and weather forecast...

Well, we don't know if Foley will be available for the series since he is not listed as a starter over the weekend with Bothwell being the only announced starter. They said last weekend that they thought he might be back for the Rutgers series.

Game 1 (Fri, 6 p.m. ET):

IU's starter is a TBD.

LHP Justin Sinibaldi will be on the mound for Rutgers with an ERA of 2.55 in 67.0 IP and a WHIP 0.97 with an OBA of .211. Sinibaldi has given up just two homers in his 67 innings pitched and his ERA ranks 2nd among B1G starting pitchers.

Game 2 (Sat, 2 p.m. ET):

LHP Ty Bothwell will be on the mound for IU with an ERA of 5.37 in 52.0 IP and a WHIP of 1.27 with an OBA of .245.

Rutgers starting pitcher is a TBD.

Game 3 (Sun, 11 a.m. ET):

The starting pitcher is a TBD for both teams. I assume the early start to this game was because of Rutgers' travel arrangements.

Team stat numbers:

Batting - IU is 5th in the B1G with a team average of .298. Rutgers leads the B1G in batting with a .315 average.

Pitching - IU is 12th with a team ERA of 6.79, while Rutgers is 4th with an ERA of 5.23. IU has given up 73 homers in 41 games, while Rutgers has given up 29 homers in 40 games.

Fielding - IU's fielding average is .965 with 50 errors in 41 games, while Rutgers average is .978 with 33 errors in 40 games.

Weather forecast:

Fri - It is expected to be 64 degrees at game time (6 p.m. ET) and cloudy with a 27 pct chance of precip. Wind is expected to be out of the SE at 12 mph.

Sat - It is expected to be 79 degrees at game time (2 p.m. ET) and intermittent clouds with just a 7 pct chance of precip. It is expected to be windy with the wind out of the SSW at 16 mph and gusts to 28 mph.

Sun - It's an 11 a.m. ET game start with the high that day expected to be 83 and mostly sunny with a 24 pct chance of precip. Wind is expected out of the S at 14 mph.

Trumps Tweet about former AG Barr

This was very funny to me. Here is the site I got the quote from because I don't have X. https://www.thedailybeast.com/trump-mercilessly-mocks-his-former-ag-bill-barr-for-endorsing-him
“Wow! Former A.G. Bill Barr, who let a lot of great people down by not investigating Voter Fraud in our Country, has just Endorsed me for President despite the fact that I called him ‘Weak, Slow Moving, Lethargic, Gutless, and Lazy’ (New York Post!),” he wrote on Truth Social late Wednesday.

“Based on the fact that I greatly appreciate his wholehearted Endorsement, I am removing the word ‘Lethargic’ from my statement. Thank you Bill. MAGA2024!”

24/25 Xavier Basketball

Was lightly listening to a recent 247 portal YouTube vid and they were talking Xavier and Conwell.

They brought up Freemantle coming back and then they also said Jerome Hunter is expected back for his fourth senior season, seventh overall and it blew me away.

So let's pour one out for old Jerome staying healthy in the 24/25 season, which may be his last.

For those with faulty memories like mine, IUs 2018 recruiting class consisted of:

Romeo
Hunter
Damezi
Phinisee
Forrester
  • Sad
Reactions: 4IUSox2

INL: GIVE me the money!

So, we all know how important INL money is in bringing in recruits. I have some questions.
  • I am not sure WHEN the money changes hands,
  • Is the money given in one lump sum? Or, is it given in installments?
  • if the recruit decommittes before the season starts, does the team lose any INL money that had been paid?

My last question is: Did Liam "stiff" IU when he left? I hope he did not and I think he did not.

Ohio State 2024

This is the second in a series of looks at the '25 prospects of IU's old BT foes. This time, Ohio State.

Projected rotation looks like:***

--6'3" Meechie Johnson, TR
--7'1" Aaron Bradshaw, TR
--6'2" Bruce Thornton
--6'6" Micah Parrish, TR
--6'6" Devin Royal
--6'6" Evan Mahaffey
--6'0" Juni Mobley, FR (top 45 or so)

Others who may challenge for time include Soph 6'4" Taison Chatman, who was a top 45 or so recruit last year. Other possible contributors are 6'10" Austin Parks and 6'6" FR Colin White.

Predictions: OSU is still looking for a transfer 2 guard shooter, but I don't see they are in on any top 30 guys there. Parrish from SD State appears to be a glue guy. Mobley looks like the PG back-up. I wonder if they are also looking for a back-up C, because Parks looks like that guy right now, and he played very little last year. They should finish behind Purdue & IU and likely in a group that includes Illinois, Michigan State, Michigan, Maryland, and, possibly Rutgers.

***Adding 6'9" Sean Stewart, Duke transfer
