Reported on a sports radio station in Atlanta, too, citing the same source.
As a BIG representative, or a PAC representative? We’re going to The Rose Bowl baby!
Might be better than PSU/OSU/Mich/MSU.ESPN now reporting! We may have to play OSU/Mich/USC/UCLA/ and Notre Dame in the same season in the near future!!!
Yes and PUke will have to tough it out with Northwestern,Maryland,Illinois and Rutgers.ESPN now reporting! We may have to play OSU/Mich/USC/UCLA/ and Notre Dame in the same season in the near future!!!
4 4 team pods, then rotate the other 4/5 games with a protected rival if needed. How would the divisions be set up ?
Financially, this is about as good as it gets. Maybe use the $$ to compete where we are better.Word is it’s a done deal. Now would be a good opportunity for Indiana to look elsewhere for a conference in which it can compete and even win a lot.
They could group the upper peninsula together and be the Michigans, Minny, Wisky then IU Purdue Illinois NW. but the E/W pods seem
Why two? One would do it, wouldn't it?My guess is Purdue and Illinois to the east.
If they have any sense at all (which is a long shot) they will not have divisions. How would the divisions be set up ?
These additions help explain why the conference has largely gone radio silent on scheduling realignment and the new TV contract. Adding USC + UCLA should mean better $$$$$
they would be adding 2 to the west so you would have to move 2 out. If they keep divisions at all.Why two? One would do it, wouldn't it?
Add PU to the East, then add two to the west and you've got 8 in each division.
Probably right but I would like to see some sort of playoff in the conference. Say 4 teams per pod. Play 8 conference games with 3 ooc and then a pod playoff and the the championship.Divisions are dead. This is clearly why we never announced they were dead when everyone else had. This was in the works. My prediction is we’ll do divisions in 2023, then move to no divisions but these pods in 2024. You’ll play the same 3 or 4 teams every single year, with everyone else rotating. Championship game is top 2.
This will be a travesty if/when this is finalized.
Nope. Add two to the west, all you'd have to do is move one out.we

In the 4 team pods based on rivalries, would IU ever be on TV?Realignment options….. I think the TV networks will have a HUGE say. https://michigan.rivals.com/news/pr...ference?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter
B1G will now have the four largest TV markets (NY, LA, Chicago, Philadelphia) in the US. Amazing. These additions help explain why the conference has largely gone radio silent on scheduling realignment and the new TV contract. Adding USC + UCLA should mean better $$$$$
Yeah, you’re right. Finally wrapped my brain around it. :0Nope. Add two to the west, all you'd have to do is move one out.
East West
OSU Minnesota
PSU Wisconsin
Michigan Illinois
Michigan State Northwestern
Rutgers Nebraska
Maryland Iowa
IU USC
PU UCLA
Otherwise the divisions would be unbalanced.
Our pod will be UM, OSU, and PSU, so I’m guessing we will be on a lot.In the 4 team pods based on rivalries, would IU ever be on TV?

Yes. On a Friday. Not joking. I mean IU/PU game would be on Friday of FOX/ESPN Rivalry Weekend. In the 4 team pods based on rivalries, would IU ever be on TV?
