It isn't in schools

Deadspin is literal trash. Its outrage porn for the Hickory’s of the world.

Even for them, this is pretty ridiculous. Basically trying to ruin a kids' life and claim he has blackface through a completely deceptive picture.

And the author is doubling down

I don’t get it. Ashley Ketcherside definitely knows as much about Sex and can educate more than some nun or old divorced teacher in a trailer.
I mean....yeah.

She's also involved in the high school booster club, is married, etc.

Reading about how some Karen's sniffed her out by online snooping, I'm assuming she was rolling up to school in some ridiculous, $200k Panamera or something? :D

'Black face' isn't just someone wearing black paint on their face. It's an absurd assertion that it's automatically offensive. This author needs to learn that black face is the intent of portraying a black person or black character, and the offensive side of would be the caricaturization of it.

Then there is this...

Agreed. There are worthwhile scenarios where racism is evident and blatant. This doesn't seem like one of those, even though the author disagrees. It just diminishes the importance of it going forward.

And then you have theHoosier.com Water Cooler...the bastion of civilized middle America, where we have (clock is right twice a day) liberals like Bloom correctly criticizing the author's take (kudos)...

and at the same time, a bunch of patriotic Americans openly disproving Phillips take by showing our "admiration", and quite honestly, let's call it what it is, "online love", not HATE, for Mexican/Americans such as Ms. Villalobos.

It's one of those infrequent, unilateral agreements that are such a breath of fresh air these days. 👍

Any research at all on the author of that piece will tell you he’s a virulent racist and huckster who will find racism in LITERALLY anything, as in this piece.

I hope this kid sues them into oblivion.
Well, if we have learned anything from Alex Jones, and I know I have, it's that the notion of actually paying your legal judgments to the people you lost to is antiquated and stupid.

It probably includes a large number of young people without European ancestry.
Possible.
A few decades ago, I met an extremely well-educated guy who was, in fact, from Germany (if not him, then his parents). He fully believed the Holocaust was a myth, most Jews died of disease not related to gas chambers and ovens, and that the # was far lower than 6 million. He had no problem telling everyone all about it, either.
In a related story, he was arrested and charged with a felony for stealing Nazi war items from the WWII memorial downtown, was fired from a job for not reporting the charges on his application, and later, was publicly (story in newspaper) released from his position as a college history teacher for espousing his revisionist bullshit in class and being recorded by the students.
I don't think it was Masa.

It blows my mind anyone can deny it with the eyewitness, photo, and video evidence available.

I had a Jr high history teacher who's family was from Poland. He had a parent or grandparent or maybe both survive a concentration camp.

I'm watching a Netflix documentary called World War 2 From the Frontlines that's very good. Lots of new to me video.

But at least we have DEI…

You realize, it's been conservatives who attack school boards that think we should be teaching "both sides" of this topic.

Then there is this guy:
It would be great if we could get conservatives to quit quoting Nazis

Far right (Hitler) and far left (Stalin) are both anti-Semitic, historically and in modern times.

I have no idea WTF Bloom's talking about.

Brad posts an article about eliminating "advanced" public schools in Chicago for kids that show acumen at a younger age, and he segways into (I guess) some tangent claiming right-leaning parents want it taught that the Nazi's were the "good guys" at public school?

Meanwhile, in the actual article-

According to the Jewish Virtual Library, there is no evidence Goebbels ever actually used this statement.

Thats an odd sentence given the headline. Lol.

You're right. You have no idea. I didn't reply to Brad.

Perhaps, but Jim Lucas seemed to think so, since he was the one who posted the image of the quote attributed to Goebbels.

The notion of using the big lie seems to come from Mein Kampf, according to the same organization.

A serious question:

Why is it wrong to quote bad people from the past, when the quote is something you are trying to combat?

For example, if someone quotes Satan from the Bible, to make the point about something going on matching what Satan said or advocated for, why would we assume that person is somehow supporting Satan?

I mean, does anyone think this politician was supporting a Big Lie and to just keep deceiving people, and doing it right on the banner of his Facebook page?

I'm sure this guy might be an ass and I would never vote for him, but what are the rules surrounding this?

If you believe someone is hiding in plain sight, it's revealing. Lucas is very much an election denier, so there is belief in that Big Lie. Just as Moms 4 Liberty (as referred to in the past) push along a great deal of misinformation, they're projecting.

And it's not that they're quoting bad people from the past. It's featured speech. It's not like they were telling stories, where there was provided context. It was Lucas tweeting a meme and M4L putting it on the front cover of their first newsletter.

So are they warning their base or providing instruction for how to act? Maybe they're just stupid enough to leave up open enough for their dissenters to make up their own mind. OK...let's give them the benefit of the doubt. They're not bigots, they're just incredibly stupid.

That’s clearly a made up boogeyman created by the Right. It’s not even real.

Oh it is real? Then it doesn’t say what you think it does.

Oh it does? Then it isn’t that prevalent/this is only one whacko you cherry-picked.

Oh it’s not and there are many examples? Then, so what, why do you care, why are you so obsessed with this stuff, there must be something wrong with you.

So their ideal person is a fat, gay, minority, non-citizen that can't speak English on welfare with no education. Those don't sound like the type of people that can be controlled at all (DWS).

All these DEI people need thrown in the trash.
That’s not their “ideal” person. That would be the person that has suffered oppression on the most vectors that they recognize as inappropriate/unfair/immoral.

What’s weird to me in all of these is that they never include what I would think is one of the most obvious ones that cut across cultures: physical attractiveness.

Republicans constantly get accused of waging culture wars while John’s Hopkins is pumping out shit like this, and Ivy League Presidents have fallen so far into an orthodoxy that universities have to begrudgingly force them out of their positions.

Who are really the ones trying to alter the culture?

No, that is what they want. They are their preferred people. If you are a Marxist that says property owners are oppressors then your end goal to remove that oppression is to remove the ability to privately own property. If being a white, straight, male (all inherent traits) is de facto oppressive, then the only way to end that oppression is to either remove or discriminate against those people based on those characteristics. You have to force these morons to their logical conclusions (and then throw them in the trash).
