So you ship all the parts halfway across the world for final assembly, then ship them back here for sale.
Yeah some things. Then they get shipped together with stuff that’s already being manufactured over there. It’s all complicated - especially in some countries/factories where you run into minimums. There’s factories in Mexico that ship more samples a week than we manufacture in a year. But again made in USA almost never comes up. That said there are companies who thrive on it. I know construction gear companies who have the constitution imprinted on their shipping boxes etc

You (Goat) wouldn't believe some of the back and forth and roundabout stuff you sometimes have to go through to end up with a finish product. Packaging was the biggest headache.
And yeah, people talked Made in USA until they saw the price differential... we did stuff for the AmVets in China, and while we were up front about it, our customer (a middleman/distributor) required that we repackage everything so as to eliminate any Made in China identification.
