1 thing I specifically hate is when a game goes to commercial. You can't go back and watch that call that you think was bad or missed. You can back it up to that point, but then you still have to watch the ads. When theyre over, it picks up play at the point you went back to. Then you can't fast forward through the ads it made you watch before it let you watch what what already happened. It makes me watch double the commercials to see if he was really out of bounds or tagged out. Nearly everything I hate about Hulu is related to watching sports.
Little things are annoying too like setting IU games to record gives me 2 entries to deal with. When IU plays Nebraska, for example, the game shows up in the group of IU recordings, but also spawns a random Nebraska recording that isn't organized. It's just thrown out in the root directory, if you will. It doesn't take long to make it a PITA to clean up.
If you are on live TV and want to only show sports, the listing is horizontal blocks. If you want to find a game you have to scroll through each one individually and if you're trying to find a couple games, you have to start over from the beginning to select the second one, which is even further from start than the first game you selected.
ESPN+ clutters the horizontal channel listing. On a Saturday there may be 30-40 listing's and half have nothing on at that time, but because they did that day or will later, they show up.
There are others, but I have to go yell at some kids who are on my lawn right now.
We have Hule Live. The inter face is a little clunky but it has good content, plus you get Disney+ and ESPN+. They are all over priced and have positives and negatives.
My biggest pet peeve is that when you go to sports it will tell you that something is live when it’s not.
There are so many little things like that.
Tell me that Indiana St @ Drake is women's basketball without making me stop on it so that last line of text will appear.
I also hate when you stop in the middle of a movie or show and come back and it starts from the beginning. It’s 2024. That shit should not be happening.
Or if you pause for any length of time, it joins the next program on the channel in progress equal to the number of total minutes you were behind due to pausing.
That normally would bother me in the least, but it's just one more thing.
Please remember Hulu live does have the history channel. So you have your history discovery bravo and tlc. That puts them at the top for consideration. Far more impt than what hooky and Cortez are wasting time about
I like the History Channel and will miss all that content, especially the "<blank> That Built America" stuff.
I also always thought ESPN+ was ridiculous until I got it as part of Hulu Live. I was able to watch more IU Soccer and Baseball on ESPN+ in the past year than on BTN in the last 5.
ESPN+ is also great for major tennis tournaments. You can literally watch every match. My girls all play tennis so it’s a big deal in our house.
for sure. i'm a big fan of espn+. i'm also a big tv in the background guy while i'm working and doing shit and for me there's no better channel than history for that.
