From what little I know about "possibilities" Beard is at the top of my list, but I'm not a knowedgeable fan here, and only know the "big" names: Stevens, Oats, Pearl, Drew, Beard, May, etc... Of that list, I only believe Beard and May are even possibilities and Beard has way more track record than May. But, I've said all along you hire an investigator to check out his background and truly see if this was a one time event, and interview him and see if he convinces you he's made amends. To me those would include stopping drinking, and ending it with the woman. I could understand the second, but if drinking played a part and you're serious about changing, you should stop drinking.

I have two beautiful 12 year old daughters that already attract attention. I concluded long ago there is no way for me to adequately protect them so martial arts training since six and small arms training beginning in a couple years. I figure they will have fallback employment as international assassins.
I still apparently have a different view than you and believe the last thing the vast majority of men want is to hurt a woman or child, It’s deep in our genetics. No question that alcohol and drugs change propensity for violence for both men and women . I do all that I can that their behavior will not lead to high risk drug or alcohol abuse environments.

My quotes about citing coach Knight had to do with his coaching philosophy. Nothing else. I myself have 4 grown daughters (22-29) and not a proponent of violence. But I also know we have each done something stupid. Maybe Beard screwed up, but haven’t heard anything since. Maybe forgiveness should play a part. My point is that obviously he is a good coach, and he should have the opportunity to be interviewed.
I would assume the entire staff will be cleared out which I agree with, we need a whole new culture in the locker room
Spent a lot of time with Chris Beard. Never witnessed any sort of drinking issue. I have seen a no nonsense really hard working young assistant. Maybe Steve Downing, Pat Knight and Stew Robinson have a valuable opinion on the subject.
Most men naturally want to protect women. It is one of the reasons why I don't want women in combat on the front lines. The dude hasn't coached college ball in more than a decade, and that world (due to NIL/portal) no longer exists.
They also make targeted high value hostages. See recent Israeli hostages. When I even see a photo of a female hostage it upsets me to the point I am ready to board a plane to help. It’s in our genes.
I've researched it quite a bit. So why did Beard accept the termination and move on? The University of Texas found his behavior a violation of his employment. What did you find in your research that says otherwise?
