Gotta believe Romeo has slipped down the charts with his recent games. Any chance he stays?

Give me a break. He’s lottery on potential alone. They know the problems of this team and Romeo isn’t one.

Learning the packline and getting no help on offense is no way to further your NBA potential.

Furthering your NBA potential is no way to win Big Ten games.

No, he is not a lottery pick and he had better stick around if he wants a long career.

By lottery pick I assume top 14 and not top 3. Romeo is likely to be a better pro. IMO, he is like a 6'6" version of Donovan Mitchell. Mitchell shot 25% from 3 point land when he was Frosh Once Romeo improves his shooting, he'll be really tough to guard in the NBA where there is much more spacing. His body control and strength attacking the basket is elite as is his lateral movement defensively. He has very good length. Maybe he will fall out of the top 5 but I wouldn't bet against him when he goes to the draft camps making a good impression.

Unless the Mavs get lucky in hit the NBA draft lotto, the Hawks will have 2 lottery picks in the top 14. Doesn't he have ties to Atlanta. That is bound to come out in the interviews. If he stays at IU there will likely be some factor other than falling out of the lottery that keeps him around.

He would learn more going to class at IU vs being in the NBA playing against the best in the business?

Look, the game is mentally demanding. He is not ready. Kid can score off the dribble. Stay at the level where he can grow instead of getting thrown to the wolves.

Besides, he will move up in the draft if he stays and matures.

Myles turner scored 2 points in a terrible performance in his last game @Texas. I guess he wasn’t ready either. Dumb

Givony @ ESPN is one of the best and he still has Romeo 6th in his rankings.

He is not going to stay but eric gordon was way ahead of him at this point. Not even close.

IU loses 6 in a row and they play like 5 year olds and we have people talking about the NBA.
Surreal.

He's a top 10 pick. How high he goes will be based off the needs of the team's drafting at the top. I don't think he goes in the top 4, but he will be selected between picks 5-10.

I think for all these 1 and done types the feeling is even if they aren't
"ready" they will develop more in the NBA where the focus is 100% basketball.

Lmao! Why do people think readiness translates to lottery picks. It does not! They will draft him on potential alone and he has tons of it.

If I were advising Romeo I would tell him to withdraw from school and get ready for the draft, from here on his game will just be more criticized.

He will be a top ten pick. The nba just loves him despite the fact he is an awful shooter
He’s a poor outside shooter, poor ball handler, so-so passer, poor defender, no leader, effort not always there, doesn’t make others better. It’s questionable he’s even among the the ten best players in the B1G right now. You never know. He could end up in the G league at this rate.

So what get your lottery money then do something with your life. He’s a great kid he will save enough to never have to work again. I’m not telling my 18 yr old son to pass up millions that’s stupid.

Well, I am hoping that someone who wants a career in basketball would give himself a chance to succeed. Oladipo would never have made it had he tried to come out the year before. There are plenty of failures who were once considered great. Thekid needs some legs to stand on and he can get that by building strength, mental and physical, at IU.

You do realize that last year the 20th pick overall was GUARANTEED $4.7million for 2 years. No give that up so you can learn a defense you will never play in the NBA.

Zero chance he stays. And yes I still think 10-15 range is the consensus.

Miles Bridges came back cause he legitimately thought they had a chance at a title, you think IU is going to final four if Romeo comes back? Delusional

Lmao. Olidipo wasn’t a one and done. He had little fanfare. The reason he and Zeller went when they did was because it was a weak draft year. Not taking anything away from either of them. Zeller knew if he waited another year he wasn’t going as high. Hell Zeller was never a one and done.

If I were a GM and a kid did that I would take hi off of my draft board. I don't want anyone who quits on their team and the commitment he made to his team.

Comments like this is what is really hurting this fan base because you need to stop the personal attacks on the players. Saw the tweet from TJD shooting down tweets that he was looking to decommit and totally denied this. Most of this came from so called IU fans who thinks that downgrading everything about the program will help.

I was actually thinking last night that he might do this soon. I hope not but..

He is going top ten and nothing will change that. His play has not affected his stock in the least.

Iu Scott is here from Hoosier Sports blaming the fans again. It’s the passionate IU fans that are the real problem!
