I have a close buddy who signed with marseille but the war interfered. He grew up playing with Toni kukoc. I think it was for red star’s academy teams. This guy was phenomenal. He said kukoc was the best player at the academy but chose hoops as he just kept growing
And they’re just tough as shit. By second grade most are two pack a day smokers and can drive
I think Lithuania is, or was, considered the Indiana of European basketball. Not Balkan, but there are pockets all over the world where some sports are taught and played well.

My son has that jersey Modric is wearing, he wears it every week.
I think they are well disciplined, and put the team before themselves. They are very accurate; whether it is shooting or passing.
The bball players are very average athletes, but i saw a highlight this morning of Modric and the guy can get down the field when he wants to.
