What difference does it make? Raw information must be correct before it can be acted upon. The good, the bad and and the ugly will be sorted out though the government, including the Supreme Court. I get it. But he's held accountable to the voters . . . oops, second term, what does he care? But his moves will be held accountable in 2 years for the congressional elections. And, of course, Congress can hold him accountable by impeaching him. The Eric Adams thing, while small potatoes in terms of the charged crime adn the deal at issue, would be looked into at a lot of times in the past as an impeachable offense. Doubt it happens now, though.

There are 1,300 positions in the Executive branch that require Senate confirmation. Most all with much lower level of power than whomever is supposedly running DOGE.
