I'm debating what to do, the bar will have big crowd, IU fans come out of the woodwork for big games, the negatives are people in my ear all night while trying to concentrate on the game, and every big game that draws a crowd to the bar OSU and any Woodson game seems like we lose. but if they pull this off the celebration will be epic, and I'd be pissed to miss that.

If I stay at home the wife will want to watch with me and asking silly questions all night. plus, not really a home drinker.

Looking forward to this game as much as I have a sporting event in many years, but where to watch it is tormenting me.

My living room. Big games like this I don’t like distractions.

My living room as well. My wife is pretty knowledgeable about football since she’s been around it for many years so I don’t have to worry about her saying dumb stuff. But most importantly with my second favorite partner-Woodford Reserve Double Oaked. Great for celebrating or in case things go sideways…..

I watch at home and often tape the game and start a little later. The tape lets me replay and slow motion as I want. I also can fast forward thru commercials.

I never watch live any more unless I am at the game or somewhere else where they are watching the game. I check the score, do my thing and then watch it at my leisure.

I’ll be down my basement in front of the big screen, alone. My wife’s not into sports. I invited my brother but he’s going to a watch party at the Bloomington CC. I generally prefer not to have any distractions during an important ball game. That does internalize the angst, which probably isn’t healthy. I hope IU is competitive enough in this one that I’m a basket case until the end.

After big games like this it takes a while to unwind. I’ll listen to Fischer’s post game on radio and read thoughts on this sight before going to bed. I hope to wake up in the morning with an extra bounce to my step. If not and we lose a close one we could have won, I will have had a restless night, tossing and turning, leading to a pissy mood through the weekend.

I am watching from home. My wife kind of had the sensual look so tomorrow night I might have a decision to make.

At home, with the family. Don't like to be with a crowd for a big game like this. Don't like the chit chat. Will watch it live. For less important games I often start it a half hour to an hour late so I can skip commercials (while staying off my phone so I don't get it tipped off on the score) but for something like this I want it to be live. I can't remember the last time I was this excited to watch a game. Maybe 2002 for all the games after they beat Duke?

We’ve got extended family coming in tomorrow for Christmas (it’s been on the calendar for three months) and if I took off for South Bend, I’d end up in divorce court in the new year. Reached a compromise. I’m headed to a watch party with close to 50 other IU alums and diehard fans. As others have noted, you can’t follow the game as closely when you’re with a big crowd, but I’ll DVR it and watch it again later, assuming it’s a game I’ll want to watch again. Tomorrow night I want to be with lots of fans of IU Football!

Go Hoosiers!

Game tomorrow?
Haha I’ve hardly slept for a week.
Probably watch from home with my wife she is a huge fan as well.
Might go the local American Legion, they are having a watch party but some of those care more about drinking instead of watching the game.
The more they drink the more they want to chat,I need to concentrate on the game.

sounds like you are going with real fans, , I get all the wives' girlfriends and people who are just casual fans wanting to have small talk while I'm trying to concentrate on the game.

Watching from home. Good friend of mine is being honored at our HS basketball game for his upcoming induction into the Indiana Basketball HOF. Planning on bugging out afterward and hopefully be home by mid 2nd quarter.

With my bro at his house. Between the Hoosiers and the Bills I’m 23-2 this year watching games with him. And he brews beer at our little brewery in Fairmount, so lots of beverages.

Never had a higher high than that Duke game. We watched it at Ozzie’s sports bar in StL. It was packed with IU fans and Duke haters, the place was one of the craziest environments I’ve ever watched a sports event at. My daughter was 8 and was getting scared, so I put her up on my shoulders. When Coverdale hit the turnaround baseline jumper, that bounced 3 times on the rim before it dropped, to give us the lead my knees buckled and I almost dropped her.

If we win tomorrow, I’m expecting it to be that kind of high.

I know we’re not talking basketball and it’s the greatest moment in IUFB history right now but here’s that Duke game and if you get a chance watch it again.

I finally gave up on going but decided to drive to Bloomington and watch at Upstairs . Had a Christmas party to go to but bowed out because I don’t want to watch with casual fans. If it’s a good game I’ll watch it again alone the next day. I want to share the experience with avid IU fans live.
