Where are the Loser PUke lurkers?

No offense, but you’re a huge toolbox. You constantly talk about them as little brother yet here you are bringing up their loss from two years ago. They have a national championship game since then and you’re still living in the past.

We played well in the second half today and beat their ass. Stick to that. Bringing up the past is embarrassing when we haven’t done shit.
No it’s not, it’s fun. It’s called rivalries. POTFB

Come on out, losers! Let's talk about how Myles Rice shut down Braden and Woody splitting the series with Painter.

FDU! FDU! FDU!!!
At least his teams are invited to The Big Dance on a consistent basis.

I'm an IU fan, but bragging about one game when Purdue has owned the rivalry for years is comical.

As is an “IU fan” chiding another for crapping on their rival on an IU board. I’ll bet he knows the recent history well enough, support your fellow Hoosiers & POTFB.

Using quotes for my fandom? How very Woody of you.

I respect good coaching.

I said elsewhere that Loyer was chirping at the IU bench quite a bit in the first half, I think the IU players and coaches noticed...
Loyer was chirping the first half. The big board kept showing a kid probably 8-9 years old on the big board. He was ripping off his IU shirt flexing muscles which were maybe 2 inches in diameter. This college girl next to me said “that kid has bigger muscles than Loyer. Wouldn’t you love to punch him”. 😂

Edit to be clear she meant wouldn’t you love to punch Loyer. 😂

As do I, but that doesn’t mean I’m going to jump to make arguments for PU on an IU board, which is why the quotation marks. I can’t get there from here as to why any IU fan would feel compelled to make a case for PU superiority…

He's not good enough to be cocky. Leal stuffed his shit, lol
He's a really good college player. He's averaging close to 14 points a game, shooting nearly 50% from the three.

But...he's not "top 10" level good. He's a liability defensively, and despite being 6-4 ish and fairly long, he isn't a factor on the boards. There are probably 40-50 backcourt/wing lineups in the country that are suited to expose both Smith and Loyer. If IU can do it, there are A LOT of others out there that will too.

That's been my biggest "slam" on the Purdue fans having their heads in the clouds of late. They don't even realize, maybe not even now, that the only reason they were up there in the first place was an anomalous monster from Canada, that was allowed to regularly do what the officials rightly fouled TKR out for doing yesterday.

So...Loyer is a good. He's a good fit at Purdue. He wouldn't sniff the floor at Duke, or Houston, or Auburn, or Bama, or, or, or...

That is a fair assessment.

I just don't see any B1G team as a legit F4 team this year. The tourney is all about match-ups and some luck, but right now any B1G team who faces Auburn or Duke is likely to get shredded.
Strange things happen though ..

Younger teams (Duke) sometimes give in to the pressure, and tourney teams filled with 5th years can give anyone trouble.

Maybe...maybe not. Singular matchup...I'd say there are a few teams that could "catch" those teams. Wisky, Michigan, MSU maybe. But I don't think we have any that could beat multiple teams at that level. So I think a B10 Final Four, this year, is unlikely.

yeah I'll concede, the tourney is a bit quirky. I doubt anyone had Loyala Chi in the F4 a few yrs ago. Or 'Nova beating Ewing in 85. Or NC State beating phi slamma.....all it takes is one game in the tourney. One off day/night...season over.

Aside from MSU (who seems to have woken up after we beat them) I don't see any other B1G team that seems to be trending upwards. I thought it was Bucky, then OR goes to Madison for the first time and Wisky lays down over the final 8 minutes and loses at home. At one point I thought ILL was a good team and they've fallen since, and Duke murdered them over the weekend. Will come down to guard play and I think that's where Purdue will be weak. Smith looks worn out and teams starting to figure out how to smother him out top and disrupt their offense.

If any can get to F4, as much as I hate to admit it....I'd bet on Izzo. He knows how to do it in March.

I love that new offense, it's fun to watch. I used to think very little of Gard, but ignoring his ego and hiring an offensive coordinator was a good move. Welcome to the 21st century Wisconsin.

I think they probably have the best chance to make a run. Not enough talent to win it all but I wouldn't be surprised at an elite 8 or even better..

never thought we'd be saying that about Wisconsin after 15 yrs of the Bo Ryan swing offense. But I agree. Gard evolved, got a good mix of players, and even with losing 2 starters to NIL. He probably won't get COY in the B1G but he deserves consideration.

We also don't mention Maryland much..played them once a long time ago, haven't seen much since. But they are putting together a good season and have some serious bigs to deal with.

He can shoot, but that's it. He definitely has the white man's disease, agreed.

High floor/low ceiling recruiting.

Through a season, coaches can make players smarter, more consistent, more proficient and have teams gel through chemistry. That is what coaching is. What they can't do is make them quicker, jump higher or become more athletic. This is where Purdue's major flaw lies.

He recruits smart ballers without much upside that don't have the extreme athleticism or measurables - nothing wrong with that if done correctly - eventually though some of the teams that recruit upper level talent will get coached and pass them.

They're always ahead of the curve in Dec... by March though the lack of real talent bites them in the ass.

A balanced recruiting method is the way to go, recruit some pro level talent - not all star team builds which we're seeing doesn't work - then surround them with smart role players. Loyer is not a starting level talent, he's nothing but a shooter.

Same...Oregon, with the right draw, could make a decent run. They have some good guards that can shoot it. But Wisky will be a very dangerous 3-5 seed in someone's region, for certain.

I don’t disagree with your general point, but it is difficult to know what to expect from Duke as yet another freshman-centric team.

Woody splits with Painter. Braden gets shut down by Myles Rice. PUkes lose 4th in a row.

Come on out of your holes: show yourselves.
Damn Jimbo I thought one of our resident PU trolls would take the high road and congratulate you on the big win! We know they’re on the board everyday.

I love how the two biggest whiners on here about Purdue fans posting here are putting this much effort into baiting them. Jimbo and Cav must not have the brain cell today and are just out without their keepers posting more absolute stupid shit and showing theirs and IU's (cl)ass. Yeah, Leal kicking Furst in the groin and getting away with it happens anywhere but the hall of calls. You dweebs are so delusional its hilarious.
