What's Woody's buyout?

He is the right coach... at the right time!
He was ok to right the ship and get us back to the tourney but he had tjd to help him. I just dont see a guy who can get us long tourney runs anytime, we a tourney run with davis or crean we had many shooters. We have none under woodson. Now he will not get canned but i hope he retires in the next couple years while we are still ok. I do not watch much nba but when i do its all three pointers yet woodson is the opposite. I wanted crean gone but one thing he could do was get shooters.

Woody's point guard is out with another injury. His should be sophomore shooting guard is sitting on the end of the bench of the Lakers, his Mr Indiana shooting guard is sitting on the end of the bench of the Hoosiers, his team co-captain off guard is afraid to shoot the three and he's got a couple of other underclass minute guards who aren't sure what the role is yet.

No easy fix here.

if X does come back in playing shape I would give Cupps a serious look at starting instead of TG. TG is having a horrific season.

you asked a question... i am asking you one back.. simple
No, I asked a question and your answer to my question was a question. Thereby, not an answer.

Secondarily, I work in the realm of what has happened and not what could happen in the future if the stars and moons align. We can discuss those once thats determined. My phrase is we haven't, do you disagree? Do you disagree that we need to at some point soon?

I don't remember anyone regressing this much. Will regressed senior year, but Trey has made that look like nothing. Offense and defense just atrocious.
Probably has a girlfriend. That’s the only explanation.

Sheehey-Trey….good comparison. They were made to be our super sub but struggled once they moved into a steady starter role. Will was actually a decent shooter. Trey’s shot is messed up and looks like it’s in his head now.

Will did have more offensive skills. A lot more.

Trey is better at running full speed at the basket. To be fair he makes the layup half the time, it’s the airballs the other 50% of the time that makes me puke.

Speaking of airballs did we see Sparks airball layup? I have never seen anything like that. Ever. He was standing underneath the basket with no one on him. Jumped up and somehow chucked it on the other side of the rim off the backboard.

I saw TJD miss a ton of bunnies, I have never seen a worse layup in my life. He should have been asked to leave right then.

His free throw form is so bad I keep hoping it gets in the heads of the opposing team and screws up their shooting.

Nothing like a good banked in FT. The next one hit the backboard too, just didn’t rattle in for baby shaq.

Are you serious? LOL

There was zero chance that JHS was coming back for his Sophomore year. I remember hearing reports in PRESEASON practices about how impressed people were with him. Given his pro background, CMW had to know that JHS wasn't ever going to be his "sophomore shooting guard." He had plenty of time to make allowances for that.

When you recruit five stars, you have to be prepared to reload every year. If they live up to their hype, they won't be back. If MM suddenly starts playing well, I'd wager that he won't be back. If Ware keeps playing well, I would assume that he'll be a lottery pick (or at least in the first round).

CMW has to plan for this, otherwise every year is going to be a "rebuilding year" for IU.

Agree. He had a good run last year where he was shooting around 50% from three. It was my high volume, but he would take shots and they would go down. This season he looks timid and unsure what to do. He passes up most every outside open look for a pass or dribble drive.

Funny thing is, in interviews I saw before the season there were a number of players, and even Woodson, who said the guy who had the best summer workouts was Galloway. They all made it sound as if he was going to have his best season yet.

we have entered the dance on what could happen and it did... now we just have to believe it will hapoen again and better... open your mind to the possibilities... this team is growing..
watch and enjoy!

Galloway has never been a good shooter. Last year’s % was an outlier. Go back and looks at his high school career numbers.

Ahhh, so now we see where your problem begins. You use make believe and imagination. I don't find value in that Mickey Mouse nonsense. I didn't say coach can't or won't turn things around or that he won't advance past the first weekened of the tourney. I always give the teams a chance to play the full season out. What I did say, though, is that it needs to happen soon and we should refrain from crowning him until we legitimately put ourselves in contention for a title.

not at all... a true realist. Who crowned him... that's your imagination

I think Woody can get us a Final 16 banner. That’s really the ceiling for IU basketball the past 20 years. Really no reason to continue recycling mediocre coaches. Just keep Woody the next decade and continue a path of 16-22 win seasons and the occasional exciting run past the second round.

this will be a growing experience.
kind of sad you can not see it..
but oh well... your agenda
No agenda…just win!!! This won’t be a growing experience, this isn’t the old days where your guys stay 4 years. This will be another flipped roster next year. Woody’s stubbornness to not recruit shooter’s and basketball players is killing him. We are what we are this year. Zero guard play and a decent front court

Small ample size during mop up time. Coming off of an injury while trying to learn the NBA. All while still very young. Silly to think that represents what he might be in the NBA.
And he shot pretty well at IU as a freshman.

Who cares.
Stud in college...35 in Mackey.
Name me even Hoosier legends that have done that ...
