What will we do about the looming retirement crisis?

Whoa man. I really disagree.

We're going into an era that's going to be dominated by tech, specifically AI.

Outside of physically building stuff, there won't be a future employment structure for most of the white collar jobs that exist today. The have and have not are going to greatly widen. Trading daily labor for wages will be considered archaic

You either have capital or not. Those that do will get very rich. Those that don't are going to be continuing to fight for less and less scraps.

There's no special sauce about America. We had massive advantages that resulted from the outcome of WW2. An industrial base that's the wasn't destroyed, etc.... We've lived off of that a long time. That's coming to an end
I've become a huge fan of your style of cynicism.

It doesn’t matter what it’s called. Eventually it will lead to Europe. The only reason we have the growth we do is because we’re running up deficits, instead paying higher taxes.

The reality is we can only provide welfare because we have excess goods/services, which is only created through productivity gains. If we significantly raise taxes, we’re going to lose our growth, which eventually leads to fewer services for fewer people. The government can’t be all things to all people.

You think that graph says something good about America?

I don't. I think it says that America is dominated by a handful of companies that grow far too large too fast, while Europe is still filled with reasonably sized businesses. I think Europe's model is far more sustainable long-term.

I know that runs against ideas about economies of scale, but it also doesn't require "too big to fail."

I love stuff like that. I have a decent amount of random shit. Now that cray isn’t here to shred me I love American pickers and pawn stars and all that. Just by way of example I have a full Bball uniform and cursive Indiana sweatsuit that Rawlings made decades ago to pitch IU
What kind of pathethic, twinkle toed communist cock sucker likes so**er? (I aint payin no kangaroo court fine for saying that word!)

Looming retirement crisis might hit home... I totaled my brand new company driver today. Not my fault by any means -- I got hit by some dingbat who ran a stoplight -- but the one owner who plays more of an operations role is a hardass about the vehicles and gets downright shitty at any one who even lets his car get a little dirty, yet alone crashes one. I may end up looking for one of those sweet do nothing work from home jobs. I'll work cheap.

The only answer. Die poor with several ex wives living in your (my) houses.
It's the only way to pay back for all of my evil life decisions, pulling them out of homeless shelters. I'm a giver.

So, you have the entire ensemble? Takes a dedicated dude to pull it off.

Also requires an Aston Martin Vantage, and you be stylin’.
