We know the problems. Now...

Is this sarcasm? The kid is completely lost out there. He was getting dunked on left and right.

He was fronting a 7 foot post player with no help because...we have one post player (okay two if you count Moore, another Crean recruit).

Pretty easy to get dunked on when they throw it over you.

Race will win more games than your desired one and done will, that's now obvious.

Hell Romeo got his doors blown off in the scrimmage by the team with....Race Thompson (who was one of it's leading scorers). The OAD couldn't even win that game even though he played the most minutes as anyone per usual because the gooroos say he gotz doez madd skillz!!!!

I can't believe your lame ass has turned me against Romeo. That's some quality troll work on your part.

Oh yeah I know, we'd only win about 2 games without him blah blah blah and next year will be worse because we won't have what's basically an undersized power forward who coasted all season until it was basically over.

You must have been watching another game because he did good job on D and demonstrated a strong defensive awareness.

I just can’t believe there are human beings who think we’re better without our lottery pick guard than with him...yet here you are. Congrats on one of the dumber ideas this board has ever seen.

Now, Morgan and Romeo are the teams issues?

Not Morgan, never Morgan.

Yeah, the Romeo's clown posse has been a giant distraction this year, especially for what we've gotten on the court (not enough to make up for the chemistry/jealousy etc).

Of course I wish he would stay, grow and develop into the stud he'll become.

But he's going to be a millionaire in four months so why would he?

My point is you think the current player that we have is unreplaceable? BWAA HAAA HAAAA HAAA!!

Where are the wins that we're getting from this 19 year old lottery pick? I see a lot of bricks and breakdowns during winning time as we go all hero ball...only to watch an opponent who is actually clutch stick it up our ass again for the win (Iowa 2x's, Purdue, Ohio State...all won the game on clutch plays in the last two minutes while our lottery pick fumbled and clanked his way to a loss from playing hero ball).

So again where are the wins? You said that's all we needed was these super elite special players and the wins will follow?

Vanderbilt lost again by the way. 0-14 with #7 prospect Shittu (Romeo was #6).

Yup if you want to win the only way is by recruiting one and dones. Who cares about how their mercenary attitude impacts the dynamics of the team. Dey gotz mad skillz!!!

I'll tell you what...take away the distraction of the clown posse that Romeo brought and leave just the player and yeah, of course I want him on the team.

Judge him fairly for once and you'll realize that with his bad wrist he's just an undersized power forward that hasn't made much of an impact to winning.

And poof he'll be gone.

So will the Frankievision like clown posse which is the one good thing about his pending departure.

Just spare me the doom and gloom. It's obvious you have no idea what your watching if you think that Romeo's play this year has been so impactful that we'd be lucky to win two games without him.

It hasn't been.

And to be fair, most freshmen other than Zion and Barrett haven't been that impactful this year. Little is coming off the bench. Grimes barely gets 6 points a game. Shittu is 0-14.

Yup Duke and UK are really struggling this year. Maybe we need more Clifton Moore’s and Devonte Green’s and less Romeo’s. That’s a good strategy.

Vanderbilt is awful because they lost their best player and lottery pick. It's likely similar to the record we would have had if Romeo got hurt 4 games into the season.

Meh, his play hasn't been that impactful to winning as a frosh.

Well miss Morgan tho.

Shittu was higher ranked than Garland and is a lottery pick and Lee is an honorable mention all conference player. They both still play.

Yup a 19 year old Garland is the difference between going winless and making the tournament.

To be fair, I thought Romeo was going to be the difference between going .500 in the conference and making the tournament when we basically just switched out him and Robert Johnson.

Plenty of people on here were calling him an IU “legend” when he committed.

Every in state player could be a state legend if they stay in state and perform well.

Watching what he's contributed on the court this year and thinking 'man we'll never be able to replace that' is a new level of basketball idiocy.

I’ve never seen anyone say we’ll never be able to replace Romeo. Only rational people who say we’re better with him than without him. Well, besides one clown.

So now you didn't say, about 1000 times, that we will be even worse next year because we lose Romeo.

And now I'm guessing you never said we'd would have won much less this year if we didn't have Romeo?

That sounds like someone's current play is irreplaceable to me.

So are we winning more games or less next year? I believe you are on record for less because the loss of Romeo.

I keep readin year three is the breakout year for those using the jay wright, etc samples. The big ten is going to be awfully good next year but I will expect 20 wins. The culture should fully be in place by year three.

I couldn't find one mock draft that has Shittu going in the 1st round. Not sure which website is most accurate, but I'm pretty sure recent projections have him going in the 2nd round. I don't know if Vanderbilt would have made the tourney, with him or not. They obviously aren't better without him.

I remember vandy fans talking final four if they got romeo. Instead they are worse than us

This is pretty much the essence of my troll job on Romeo and other one and dones.

We treat them like God's, teams get indicted by the FBI over them, we ask other team mates before they've made one shot how's it like to get to play with a special player like Romeo (seriously, the other site asked our players that).

The ROI on the one and done has historically not been as good as the clown posses, and hype, and whatever the phenomena that comes with them.

Like I said I can't believe this Freepie has me trolling on Romeo, especially when he's been playing really hard the last month which is all I ask....but this priority, this untouchable aspect of him causes massive dissention on social media, what do you think it does to the locker room?

I give Archie an F for the team chemistry this year. I don't know if it's Romeo related but I do know when jealousy meets adversity it crashes.

See Oklahoma last year. See the Bracey Wright years. See Eric Gordon (even though it was a coaching change that caused that turmoil).

See Duke last year with Wendell Carter's mom calling K a liar because of bringing in Bagley and comparing the college game to slavery.

Drama and more drama.

Just give me dudes that go to work, fight for each other and don't have clown posses following them around as a distraction.

That's an aspect of managing one and dones that I totally blame Archie for. Knight actually went after his star players harder than his bench players. Granted it almost cost him with managing Isaiah but that team rallied behind him.

Most coaches make star players their pet. I believe that's how Archie has managed Romeo (and he still gets killed for not getting Romeo more shots).

Just a guess.

Yep carsen edwards was ranked like 120 and bohannon 315th.

who is in this posse you keep referring to?

Take a breath and take time to READ, instead of your incessant whining and complaining. I laid out a specific plan above. First, RP and AD must improve and drag Franklin and Anderson along for the ride if DA stays. Second, find a way to get Leal or another shooter in the fold along with a PG, who must be able to knock down shots. Hunter was reported to be a good shooter as well. We all agree this year's team underachieved severely, but that also means there will be some talent to work with next year.

Do yourself, and all of us a favor, put your laptop away and get outside for a walk and some fresh air. You need it.
Leal is a 2020 not going to help next year.

Are you stupid? The ball was being thrown over the top and that's where your help defense comes in but didn't. I think also since he hasn't played much this year you give him a break moron. He pulled down some rebounds when he was in there.
