I think I'm all in on getting rid of Daylight Savings Time. Most of Indiana didn't participate for years, including Bloomington. I liked not doing a "Fall Back" and a "Spring Forward."

Indiana does not belong on Eastern time, either.

I don't care if we do standard or DST, pick one and stick to it. The problem is some people want DST and won't vote for standard, and people who like standard and won't vote for DST.

Make a vote that on a day in the future, a US coin will be flipped. If it's heads, it's DST year round, and if it's tails, it's standard.

For the first time ever, both me and the boss didn't realize that was happening last night. I do a Sunday morning meetup and normally pick up an old disabled guy at the nursing home but that got blown up this morning.

Put me in the DST year round camp.

Getting rid of dst just brings other issues though if everyone doesn't follow suit. Back when we didn't change, we had to figure out if we were on same time as Chicago or same time as New York.

I am for sticking with the same time year round if every state does the same.

I was hanging with some of the boys last light for the UFC fights and we were all just hanging around my buddies bar and our phones went from 1:50 to 3:30.

By buddy went to count how many beers were consumed because we knew it wasn't enough to lose a whole hour and a half.

On a different note, I also think we should go metric and use Celsius like most everyone else. Makes a lot more sense and wouldn't have to waste time in school teaching converting from one to the other.
Metric is simply a fad. They will all come around eventually !

I'll go with whatever Mitch Daniels says, now that Paul V. McNutt is no longer with us.

This is the right answer. DST forever. Now, I don’t have to get up in the morning until I want to. Give me more daylight later into the evening.
