along with OSU, Virginia, Louisville, Cincy & Texas Tech. Shot 39% from 3 and 86% from FT and averaged 12pts. a game. He's only 6'3", but sounds like he can light it up. I've probably missed it, but I hadn't even heard we were looking at him.

Archie offered him as a JUCO a few years back. He's the replica version of what Parker Stewart's role should have been.

If I were a kid in the portal I am not committing until I see who leaves.
As a big, I want to know what Race and Trace are going to do.
As a wing I want to know about Kopp and Geronimo.
BTW, has anyone heard anything about Jordan? I really like the guy.

Are Kopp, Geronimo, and Race still contemplating their futures at IU? If they are, what are they waiting on? Race I get as he has graduated and would be looking to whether or not play a 6th year, but Geronimo and Kopp? Are we at the stage where we assume every player is up in the air until they release on their Twitters and Instagrams they are returning?

From the sounds of it he is waiting to see what Race and TJD do. The problem is this could drag on until June and if several of them bolt then we are sort of in a not great spot.

Do we not think that Woodson has a very good idea of what their prospects are and will act accordingly?

The thing about that is, as athletic as JG is, if he does 2 things: continues to improve his outside shot and learns to defend well on the wing, he'll get all the minutes he wants regardless if either of those guys are on the floor. As a bonus, those are the 2 exact things NBA teams are going to want to see out of him to get drafted.

He needs a better handle.

I'd agree, but I think the first two will earn him all the minutes he wants. He could potentially be a monster in the NBA. I think he's definitely the best NBA prospect we have.

We need a PG and big from the portal
?

XJ will be preseason all-B10 and Hood-Schifino is a 5*. We lost two PG's because there isn't minutes for them next year. A big from the portal is only needed if TJD decides to stay in the draft.

Who you saying are the 2? I say Xavier is a big question mark and Hood is more a combo guard

Question mark at what? Playing PG or being on the team next year? He’d have been dismissed by now if they were booting him.

JHS will be facilitating the offense next year every second XJ isn’t on the court and then every minute of year after while he’s still in Bloomington. Why do you think Phinisee and Lander transferred?

Why is X a question mark?

And did you watch Montverde this year? JHS is without doubt a PG. It doesn't matter what you want to call him, combo, lead, point... he runs the show and facilitates.

That is what I was thinking. If some guys leave and other guys that would have come and did not because they thought the originals were staying ……
Musical chairs and some teams will be left out.
I wonder if a coach would ever say “ tell me by this date or you are gone”?

Yes X is a question mark. Was suspended last year, then now the legal issues
No. He. Isn't.
i bet u we play him and Johnson together if X is playing

Yea, he'll most likely play 2 first year because he can, but he will also back up X as the lead guard because he can. Hell you can put him at the 3 and he would be fine... because ... he can.

I watched 3 Montverde games this year, and imo JHS is a better pg than either of the guys who are leaving, and could just end up beating out X.

I’m not talking guard numbers. Regardless if it’s PG or 2 guard we need another.
pg/ X and Hood
2/3 bates, leal, Galloway, Gunn

Smaller version of Miller Kopp? It's important that we stop signing one-dimensional players.

Either Galloway or Tamar need to make a serious jump this offseason.

RP is a combo so yes
they're the same thing ..

Combo, lead, point all generally play the 1 spot.

combos are as much points as they are shooting guards ..

That's what "combo" means.. part point guard part shooting guard.

Jesus christ dude ..

Is JHS a Point Guard or Shooting Guard? JHS's Montverde coach answered the question:

“Is he a point guard? Yes. Is he a shooting guard? Yes. He’s really a guard,” Boyle said.

Good God, let's move on.

Like I said ass…we need another guard regardless

Why?

It would be a waste of time to even recruit one. No minutes available at either guard position. No minutes available at three.. either. Unless it's a knock down shooter .. or someone willing to play less then five minutes a game in a deep bench role.

We need a shooter and a backup post ..

We are recruiting McNeil though. We need shooters.

So you are rolling with:
X, hood, bates, galloway as your 1-3 and depth?

I added that in an edit... afterthought.

Yea, one knock down shooter and a big post player willing to sit and wait. All other roles are basically filled two deep
