Nothing in Samson’s career suggests that he would recruit similar to Calipari at UK.
Don’t count your chickens. They leaked that pope candidate thing to prepare you. Hes a legit candidate. If you don’t think they reached out to others and they aren’t interested. We don’t know that Donovan is a candidate. I know Mitch does not like the next batch of guys you guys like.
The idea of Donovan being offered at IU in recent years was laughed off like a redneck joke. Now....since Kentucky is looking for a coach...and whose name is floating around at the top? Billy D. No one seems to be laughing it off....at least not at Kentucky.
He was an assistant there to start his coaching career.
I'd be fine with it. If he was like 20 years younger. Way too old. Pay that dude what 9m a year and he's 70 something? Retirement incoming.
Odds makers have Sean miller at +250 and Pope at +700. Donovan ain’t coming.

Sean Miller is a pretty damn good coach. A helluva lot better than his stiff of a brother.
He’d be a better hire than Mark Pope. That’s for sure.

Well it’s hard to be excited when you don’t really know what you’re getting. Duke and UNC did the same so we’ll see I guess.

He’s actually decent from what I can tell. Runs a fun offense. Going to be interesting for sure.
